My husband and I recently stayed for a relaxing weekend at Warner Hall and we couldn’t have asked for a more restorative escape. After weeks of nonstop work, we arrived ripe for a break—and left feeling completely renewed, our heads full of wonder at the history and charm of this place.
From the moment we arrived, hosts Fred and Christina set the tone: genuine, welcoming, and attentive without ever being overbearing. It’s clear they aren’t just managers—they are custodians of the house and its legacy. Having owners so personally invested in the history and spirit of the property made the stay feel rare and meaningful.
Some of the little touches stood out beautifully:
• Coffee service delivered to our room each morning—fresh, thoughtful and comfortable.
• The bed: one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, complete with high-quality linens and that “ahhh” moment when you settle in.
• Breakfast: delightful, beautifully presented, with flavours and freshness that set us off right every morning.
• The dock at evening: we sipped champagne, watched the sun dip low over the water, and felt the world slow down. That moment alone was a highlight of the weekend.
We desperately needed a weekend away, and Warner Hall delivered—in ambiance, in comfort, in story. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and inspired.

The updated Inn is awesome. The rooms all have new matresses, decorations, lighting, and well thought out amenities. The lounge area is lovely for gathering in front of a fire. The breakfast has several options- including quiche, omelettes, french toast- all cooked to perfection. The waitstaff are attentive, and sweet. Great place to spend a night or two.

Beautiful historic house and grounds. Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. You can walk down to the water and sit on the dock or just read in the parlor. The staff is exceptional and makes you feel right at home. Fred, Jeannine, and Christine go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Thank you!

My husband and I spent a romantic weekend relaxing in the Queen's Suite. This is a quiet, luxurious inn that has been beautifully restored and decorated with period antiques. It is kept immaculate, both inside and out and the surrounding grounds and acreage are gorgeous. There is a mile-long foot path to explore the estate, and a boat house and pier where you can kayak or sit and enjoy the water views. There is also a very old graveyard where some former residents are intured. Our suite had amazing views and was pristine. The bed was so comfy and the linens and pillows were fresh and luxurious. Amenities included water bottles, water, chocolates, a robe, hair dryer, high-end toiletries, a charging station, and frame tv with cable. Coffee was delivered to our room at our desired time and a wonderful breakfast was prepared for us in the sun room. Christina and Fred were the friendliest hosts and ensured we had everything we needed for a restful stay. They work really hard to make you feel at home and are happy to share their knowledge of the estate and its history. We were so impressed with this beautiful inn that we've already made a reservation to return later in the year! Thank you guys so much for a wonderful weekend, see you soon!

May 2025: This inn is under new management and was recently renovated. Very luxurious. Super quiet. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Hands down the best place to stay anywhere near the Yorktown/Gloucester area. My wife and I stayed in the Washington Room, which is the best in the house, but we were able to look at the other rooms and they are all excellent. There was absolutely nothing the staff could have done to be more friendly and accommodating. If you are considering staying here, please, do not bring small children...it's not the place for them.

We had a couple of rooms for our daughter's wedding weekend and couldn't have asked for anything more. They were so gracious and looked for ways to make it special for the bride and groom.
The breakfast was amazing and I'm excited to try their restaurant and bar when they open!

Truly a magical place! Far enough away from things to feel like you have the world to yourself yet close enough to access anything one might want to do. The breakfasts were delicious and the Inn has all the amenities anyone could need. A friend recommended the Inn and I would recommend to anyone looking for a special get away
