I was hesitant about giving Kay Jewelers another shot. I had previously had a terrible experience with an employee there (i believe her name was Marie). I went in today and had such a great shopping experience it changed my opinion on Kay Jewelers entirely. The staff was extremely professional and expert minded. The check out process was simple and they even made me an online account. Very enjoyable and will definitely be returning now. Thank you !

Wanted to shop but was told Marie didn't work there anymore. WHY?She was the best. The manager is totally rude and not friendly at all. Go somewhere else.

I took my ring into Kay for repair. It was a ring my son bought for me from the money he earned from his paper route when he was 13. The store was not keen on repairing it and wanted me to have them make a duplicate at a cost of over $1,000.00. My ring wasn't worth that except it was worth a lot more to me in sentiment.
Since my son had gotten the ring at Kay, I still thought they would do a good job. They told me to repair it would be over $475.00. I was crying because the ring was so important to me, I agreed.
It took 3 weeks to get it back. They polished it, put a smaller peridot in the ring and made it look better. But not like it looked before.
After I got my ring back, I took my engagement and wedding to the jewelry store we purchased them at. We were told that they would only have charged me little over $100
Kay is way overpriced. Their customer service is terrible. They try to convince you to spend more money than necessary and their work is passable but not stellar. I feel they took advantage of my desire to fix the ring my son gave me.
Please avoid Kay Jewelers especially for repairs. Would not recommend.

Ashley, the store manager in Gloucester Virginia assisted me throughout the process of having a ring appraised and then sized. She was right on the money for the appraisal and I was shocked and full of goosebumps! I appreciate everything your store did for me. I even bought the extended warranty paid to have it resized and paid for the appraisal so y’all are doing something right there. Thank you so much!
