Grand Caverns offers a fantastic and well-worth-it tour with amazing sights and some of the nicest formations. The experience has a lot of bang for the buck and is highly recommended. The terrain for the normal tour is mostly flat with well-kept pathways. The very friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient staff includes tour guides who are informative, thorough with explanations, and funny with jokes. They ensure safety and make the history of the caverns, which does not disappoint, a priority. It is a wonderful time, especially on a rainy day. Arrive early to get the most out of the tour.

My family loved our visit. My husband, kids (ages 6-10) and I were engaged throughout. The cavern and it's features are stunning. Our guide was great and so knowledgeable. It's obvious (especially after visiting another, much more commercialized cavern) that much effort is made to preserve the cavern's natural state.

Tours are hourly on the half hour. Tim was our tour guide and he did well with telling us all about the history of the cave and all its wonders. Very informative and we had a great time. You can buy tickets online but you definitely do not need to. All of the staff were helpful and informative and very pleasant.
