Our regular mail lady is wonderful. She should leave the mail despite sometimes. However, the substitutes that they have are terrible. They walk across your grass when they supposed to go put on the driveway and they'll leave it if it's too much to leave it at the post office and you have to go pick it up

I make home made Christmas cards. The lady put the same postage on 5 different cards. One came back to me after 3 weeks for insufficient funds. One other was never delivered and I never got it back.

Lisa Moore (postmaster) keeps office phone on silent so that other employees cannot hear. This is done so that only Lisa can be bothered by phone. Lisa is never there. The phone is never answered. This policy needs to change as this is a public institution.

Incompetent. Sent package clearly marked for one town to a totally different town. How dumb can you get. Their operating hours are stupid too.

Halifax carriers just will not deliver and puts a card in your box that says the owner request to hold at the post office really lies well if I ordered it to be sent to my home they get paid to deliver lazy what if I can't pick up

Update 8/22/2023don't know who is the postmaster at Halifax, VA Post office is but he or she needs to be fired for the way the mail is handled. Yesterday didn't didn't get any mail even though it was paper day (Gazette Virginian). Last week we got our mail delivered around 7 pm at night, some of the mail was not delivery on the day it was suppose to be according to informed delivery, got it several days later. This week it is starting out to be the same, no mail or very late delivery. this post office deserves no stars. This has been going on for months now. Last time I talk to someone at the post office about how the mail was being delivered, I was told that they could delivered the mail any time and any way they wanted to.____________-this post office is the worst on delivering mail, on our road we get our mail anywhere from 1pm to 11pm at night or like yesterday June 26, not at all. If you call to complain, they are very rude and basically says they can do what ever they want, when they want. On any other job, they would be fired. We have repeatedly not gotten mail at all, only some of the mail or gotten someone else mail. I have informed delivery so I get an email every morning that tell me what is suppose to be delivered that day.

This post office is very unreliable. Mail can arrive anytime between 10 am and 8 pm... or not at all. Packages routinely get misrouted and delayed. Mail carriers are not friendly. There was a time that I could set my watch by when the postman arrived. Those days are gone.

Time of mail delivery is very unreliable. Mail can arrive anywhere between 10 am and 9 pm, or not at all (though it usually arrives by 5:30 pm). They apparently have no back up plan if a carrier is out sick. I've waited for packages several times that were shown on their website as "out for delivery" but didn't arrive until the next business day. Packages and regular mail are also sometimes delivered by different carriers, which can get confusing when you get your package and not your newspaper/letter mail or vice versa.
