“I brought Cody’s a Turkish mosaic hanging chandelier that I bought years ago in Singapore. I’ve always loved the lamp, but after moving it several times I never really had a good place or practical way to hang it. I asked if they could somehow convert it into a floor lamp while keeping as much of the original character as possible. What they made for me exceeded anything I had pictured in my head. They incorporated the original top of the lamp into a beautiful brass/bronze floor stand and arranged all seven globes so naturally that it honestly looks like the lamp was designed this way from the beginning. The proportions are right, the workmanship is excellent, and most importantly, they understood what made the original lamp special and preserved it instead of just finding a way to attach it to a pole. This wasn’t an expensive new fixture I needed repaired. It was something I’d carried around for years because it meant something to me, and they turned it into a one-of-a-kind piece that finally has a permanent place in my home. It has completely changed the room it’s in. The whole experience also reminded me why it’s worth finding a shop where people actually know their craft. I walked in with an unusual problem and a vague idea, trusted them with it, and they came back with something better than what I would have asked for. I paid $217 for the conversion and didn’t hesitate for a second when I saw the finished lamp. Worth every penny. If you have an old, unusual, sentimental, or difficult lamp that you don’t want to trust to just anybody, I can’t recommend Cody’s enough. I’ll absolutely go back if I ever need lamp or lighting work again.”
