Stayed at the hotel for a swim meet at the Hampton Aquatics Center next door from January 18 to 21. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there were some issues with customer service. My wife booked the room through bookings.com, but upon check-in, the desk clerk insisted that I needed to pay for the room. When I contacted my wife, he suddenly acknowledged that the room was already paid for, without offering an apology. I suspect he might have charged my card if I hadn't questioned it. The room was okay, but the bathroom appeared dated with a hanging vessel sink that provided little space for toiletries. There was a strong bleach smell upon entering the room, and it lingered for a few hours. Rust was present around the bathtub drain and sink. The shower valve body wasn't securely attached to the wall, moving in and out as I adjusted the temperature. On a positive note, the rest of the room was satisfactory, with fresh and clean sheets. I appreciated the Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring for its hygiene and ease of cleaning. The mini-fridge was spacious, almost the size of two dorm fridges, and the Wi-Fi was reliable for work. However, the breakfast was disappointing. It seemed like they reheated leftovers from the previous day. The egg omelets tasted like they were made with Kraft cheese, and the cubed potatoes were dry and insufficient. It appeared that they aimed to cut costs by providing minimal breakfast options. Despite starting at 6:00 am daily, the breakfast experience left much to be desired, and I felt I would have been better off buying a microwave egg sandwich from Walmart or McDonald's.

Room rates way too high. Needed updating a decade ago. Sink plugged. Faucet loose. Requested quiet room put us next to the kitchen. Requested new room. Asked for fresh towels the 2nd nite - desk person said "they were fresh yesterday!". You've been warned.

Great location. Close to lots of restaurants and stores. The evening desk clerk was rude but we looked past it and enjoyed our stay anyway. Pet friendly hotel!

Decent stay. The free continental breakfast is always nice, though there's essentially only one cart for the whole hotel. Be warned that the windows on the 3rd floor DO open still, so if you have curious children-- keep them away from the windows. I found out during my stay in November of last year, when it was unseasonably warm- and was terrified I could fall out.Other than that, decent place.Safety: Be warned, their windows are able to still open- even on the third floor!Walkability: Perfect for a stay if you're there for a convention.Food & drinks: Good continental breakfast and amazing sausage and eggs.

Great stay! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable! The staff was friendly and it was a very convenient location! I would definitely stay there again if the price is right.

I will never stay at this location again. First, there was a smell in the hallway as soon as I stepped off the elevator and my room was all the way at the end of the hall and it seemed as though the room hadn’t been used in a while. The valve on the toilet was turned off and not to mention there was a glob of hair plastered on the backsplash of the shower. I stayed from Friday to Sunday and when I left out on Saturday morning, housekeeping was on the hall cleaning rooms, so you could imagine the look on my face when housekeeping never came to my room to make the bed up nor clean the bathroom nor get the old towels and wash cloths or replenish me with fresh towels and wash cloths. I filed a complaint with corporate on this location and the general manager contacted me and stated she would issue me a credit to my account and watch for it to hit my account within the next 5-7 business days. I received nothing and when I called back to corporate on my ticket, my surprise to find out the same general manager contacted corporate to say she had spoken with me but she would not issue any compensation to me after telling me she would. So, now I know this business or lack of one is full of it and the manager is an extreme liar. I can’t stress enough that I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!! I would recommend anyone reading this… BEWARE! You would make better time staying at the Red Roof Inn to be honest.

First, the main reason it only got 3 stars is because the staff decided to put someone with 3 young kids next to my room ...it's a joined room. The oldest (maybe 5) I didn't hear at all and was surprised when I saw her in the hall, because she was so quiet. The other 2, (maybe a 2 yr old and then one that was maybe a month or two old), definitely made their presence known. The middle one could reach the joint-door door knob, slam the drawers on the TV stand, slam the microwave door, and mess with the turn table of the microwave...all very audibly through the joint-door. The youngest, I understand is a baby, but I swear it had bouts of colic.I understand this is not the children's fault. I don't understand why would a desk associate put kids in a joined room where the door offers absolutely NO sound barrier. The pool was down our entire 4 day stay because "rain did something to the water"....but the days inn next doors pool was open. And it didn't look as, um, "quality" as the best western.... however, this area does seem to be very safe and quiet. We, my boyfriend and I, had one towel upon arrival. There was also maybe 4 squares of toilet paper on the roll. Front desk was super helpful in correcting this though. The room was clean and spacious. And stocked aside from that. The cleaning lady I did run in to was super nice and very helpful. A+ on her part.Breakfast is definitely over and done at 9. The coffee machine is on throughout the day though. Not much in the close area. There is a gas station, Walmart, and some restaurants within a 1 mile radius. Anything else really, you'll have to drive at least 15 min if not more.I drove just shy of 9 hours for a vacation to get away, and I'd probably visit the area again, and maybe even the hotel...but I would definitely request a non-joined room.Rooms: Clean and spacious

Walked in with nobody at the service desk to check us in with a line of people waiting. Next morning, breakfast was supposed to be served until 9:00. Walked down a little after 8 and there were no scrambled eggs or plant based sausages, both of which were on the menu. One of us is a vegetarian, so I asked the desk attendant if there was any more and he pretty much told me “that sucks”They also play Fox News in the lobby …

5/5 for the hotel staff and maids and management. Excellent and friendly customer service...5/5 for room cleanliness. The shower curtain looked new and bedsheets appeared clean. The rooms are very clean and updated but smelled moldy. This is not the fault of the staff it's just an old hotel.0/5 for the smell. The rooms had a smell that gave me horrible allergies. You can see a couple other reviews complained about the smell and I should have listened. I think there is mold behind the walls in the bathroom because you couldn't visibly see. I only had allergies in the room (especially near the bathroom) and the allergies went away once I left the hotel room. I was up all night sneezing with a runny nose. The rooms are very clean and updated but smelled moldy.

My husband and I booked a room on July 28, 2023 when we got home July 30, 2023 I noticed on my bank account that they debited $250 out my account. I called the front desk and I asked them why they took money out my account they said that we been smoking in the room my husband do smoke, and I don't but he was going outside every time to smoke. I asked them to view the cameras cause I know they have cameras outside because I saw them. The girl at the front desk which her name is Trudy if that was her name told me they was not going to take the fee off and we can file a complaint. I told her I can provide a picture of my husband so they can do the cameras to see that he was outside smoking the whole time. My husband called back and try to reason with them. Tried to talk to a manager. They said the manager was going to lunch at 11:00 AM well we checked in on the 28th. I think it was like 10 o'clock the front desk agent that was there with Olivia and she did a good job. Checking us in. We had issues with our TV and she came up and fix it.

The first problem was that the floors were very sticky and greasy. It felt somewhat the same as walking around in a fast food joint barefoot. Also, we were not provided with either towels or washcloths when we arrived. I'm not sure what their post- shower plan was. Thankfully, we were able to get some from the front desk. Also, I was able to sleep fairly well then.

This joint could definitely use some help. There were literally no towels or washcloths in the bathrooms when I went to take a shower. Like, who even does that? Reasonably clean but still, do better.

Worst BW we have seen, Hampton sets a low bar for the chain. Not a good location, there only a pool complex nearby. Poor breakfast, peeling ceilings in rooms, everything needs TLC. Tiny lobby is inadequate to serve what they call breakfast, old bread, some dried eggs, no meats, OK waffles, and everything is running out, including coffee cups.
