Buckroe Farmers Market is a charming beach with a nice play park and clean facilities. The area has a old town beach vibe with beautiful grass areas for kids to run around. The beach is less than a mile long and has free three hour parking. There are a few vendors with snacks and an ice cream truck. The police patrol the area and there are life guards on site. The bathrooms are clean and there is a rinse station. The beach can get crowded on weekends, especially during high season, but it is fairly quiet on weekdays. The water is warm and the fishing pier is nice. Buckroe Beach has a significant history, having been a destination for African American families during the segregation era. Today, it is a popular spot for families, couples, and solo visitors. The beach has been beautifully refreshed with better parking, more areas for people to gather, and spaces for kids to play. Visitors can enjoy sightseeing, fishing, and leisurely walks on the pier. The area has a community feel with homes and small shops nearby. There are also grocery stores a few miles away for any items needed. With its clean sand, nice people, and delicious seafood, Buckroe Beach is an excellent spot for celebrations and making memories.
This is one of my favorite places to visit. I go for the fruits and veggies.
