Lazy lazy lazy.
I ordered something for pickup and they canceled within an hour claiming it was out of stock.
Just got out of the store with the items they said were out of stock.
Just don’t want to do their job

Just left the store. Messy appearance and inventory was low on most things with an abundance of a few items. Rude workers and apparently Virginia is getting rid of plastic bags in stores so there were no bags for items purchased. The rude of older lady sells associate mention the new bag policy. Now mind you prior to going to this store. I went to Pop Shelf and they had bags. Avoid this store if possible. Go to the one in Newport News Tech Center if you want a good Five Below experience. But if you a in the mood for disappointment go to this one.

I like shopping here, but the self-checkout experience is uncomfortable. Employees either scan items for you or stand over your shoulder, which feels like you’re being watched as if you’re going to steal. If staff are going to scan items anyway, why have self-checkout?

I went to the Hampton store yesterday. After completing my purchase and having my items rung up and bagged by an white employee, I was stopped and accused along with my small children of stealing. The same employee who had just rang us up and bagged our items insisted on rechecking the bags in front of other customers, causing embarrassment for my family. Although she offered a half-hearted apology, the damage was done. This behavior was completely unacceptable, and I will not be returning to this store.
