I ordered 2 yards of topsoil, and the delivery was on time. As I started spreading the soil in the yard, I couldn’t help but wonder why it felt so heavy. Regardless, I spread it everywhere, and that night, we had a big rainstorm. After the storm, I realized why the soil was so heavy—it was packed with rocks and stones! Now, everywhere I spread the soil looks like a rock quarry. Caveat emptor!

Put in my order late evening for a next day delivery. Thinking I'd get a call to reschedule and that would have been OK. Instead, they pulled up and dropped off. PH was almost perfect. Will certainly call again.

I ordered a few yards of their mercury mix a few weeks ago and planted about 5 dozen pre-sprouted plants. Every single plant not only survived being transplanted, but they're growing like weeds. This stuff is like rocket fuel, I couldn't be more pleased with the results

Pretty disappointed in the quality of their soil.
I ordered 2 yards of their “Mel’s mix” which they recommended after I told them I was filling a raised flower bed. I understood Mel’s mix is supposed to be a 50/50 soil-compost mix.
As I’m shoveling this stuff, there is glass, pieces of plastic, cigarette butts, and I even found a piece of romex.
The mix itself was mostly sandy soil with bits of half-composted mulch in it. I didn’t see much composted material at all in it. After our rainstorm Wednesday I go out to check my bed to see puddles of water where the “compost” they had sold was not draining at all.
After spending over $100 on soil and getting this poor of quality. I don’t think they’ll be getting my business again.

Going to have to agree with a previous reviewer. I too ordered the 50/50 blend, 15 cubic yards. The customer service was great, however the material is questionable. I too am finding large rocks and glass shards in it. It's here and we're using it, but I wanted to make people aware.
Update as of 4/17/25: Well, I reached out on 4/1/25 via email in response to their response. Nothing back from them. $1k essentially down the drain. Lesson learned.

Just got our load of mercury mix(sifted topsoil/ mushroom coposte) I love this stuff makes our plants thrive and our out put is amazing. Thank you to the amazing driver for accommodating our needs and the professionalism from the top down. If you want the best product in town this is the place!

I recently purchased the soil and compost mix. It was mostly soil with some pre-compost (not broken down). This wonder mix also included rocks, glass, random bits of plastic and a medical glove (see picture). If you want quality compost look elsewhere. Sadly, the big box stores sell a superior product.

I recently purchased mulch from Mercury Mulch, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The quality of the mulch was top-notch—rich in color, well-processed, and long-lasting. It made a huge difference in my landscaping.

Purchased a full load of blended soil for my garden and it is now FULL of Mexican Clover weeds. I thought I could trust this place because of the garden center but clearly they're just collecting rent and don't care that garden center customers have their purchases for the garden RUINED by poor quality soil. Every one of my 5 gardens where I put this soil have been infested with the Mexican Clover weed. The garden center doesn't care that the plants I bought from them are being choked out by weeds - weeds that were never found in my garden prior to buying their soil blend. The guy says it's sifted and l call B.S.
When I called the Garden Center to report that my confidence and trust in them has been compromised because of the inferior soil they endorse on their property, the girl insisted I speak to the mulch department. When I explained I wanted to speak to garden side to express the implied endorsement of the soil products, she said she wasn't the owner. No kidding .….An owner would ask questions - clearly they care only about the financial transactions and not about the quality of soil or plants sold. I support small independent businesses everyday but highly suggest you DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY here. They don't care.
