Store doesn't look clean/or feel very welcoming, had to use the restroom and if I didn't have to go so bad I would've walked right out. It was absolutely so disgusting in there the toilet seat was left up and it was so gross underneath of the seat you could see it when sitting down. I went and told an employee about it and they didn't seem to care when I told them about it!!

I had a rescue pup that I had very little info on. They helped with determining what he was and estimated age. He took all the shots well and they were very gentle with him.

Poor customer service. There were multiple dinosaur dog toys on clearance rack. when I went to purchase the dog toy it rang up full price. I was told a customer must have placed them there and they can't mark them down then. I highly doubt a customer placed multiple dog dinosaurs on the clearance rack next to the cash register.

Very upset with the Communication from the staff and leadership. My 2nd appointment was set for 8 am this morning. When Petco scheduled my appointments the staff DID NOT explain I needed to bring documentation if I had known I would've made sure I had all documents that were needed. (I drove 12.1 miles this morning just to get nothing done) My first appointment that was made they had it on the wronged day. I scheduled VIP to pay extra and be present with my fur baby, I scheduled off from my job to be there. When I get there it was poorly scheduled (all I got was I'm sorry) I rescheduled with the grooming manager and still no communication of bringing documentation for my fur baby. I spoke with the grooming manager this morning to express my concern and let her know I am highly disappointed/frustrated in this situation and again I got I'm sorry this should've been told to all our customers and do you know who you booked with. I booked with you for my 2nd appointment since we had that problem with my 1st appointment that your staff scheduled me on the wrong date. no concerns Or regards showed from the past grooming manager and the current one.

Yes I recommend The Hampton Petco if your looking for more variety in dog apparel they have a great selection. No I don’t recommend this Petco if you have a pup that doesn’t enjoy being touched by strangers. When asked to pet your dog by staff if your answer is “ no they are not a fan of being fondled by strangers” you will get a plethora of words explaining there “credentials “ and an attempt to touch anyway or to talk you to death about your breed (they didn’t know what breed she was) Your “No “ should be respected and left at that. I’ve been grooming professionally for 17 years and I guarantee I trump your “basic obedience” credentials♥️ Learn your breeds, take no for an answer, don’t try to pet dogs without permission and your not entitled to pet someone’s dog just because they are in public. Other than that like I said there are some awesome employees there but the weirdness and persistent nature of there “trainer” has made me uncomfortable everytime I have been in there, avoid him and it will be a great experience

Will never use Petco Grooming again! Called to make appointment for nail trims for my Yorkies because you can't make an online appointment for just nails. Was told to just walk in for nail trims. Walked in 12 minutes later and was told they were unable to do trims without an appointment! 2nd time in 2 months they couldn't do it. Goodbye Petco. Hello Petsmart from now on! Terrible customer service in Grooming!!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had an appointment for checkup and shots for our cat at 4:42 pm today. Text said to arrive 10 minutes early (was there at 4:29 and to text #3 when you arrived, stay in your car and they would text me when I was to come in. It was 98 Degrees in the parking lot so I texted the minute I arrived. It was not comfortable for me or the cat. Just before 4:42 I texted 3 again and waited, No response. A few minutes later I texted "should I continue to wait" NO Response for the 3rd time. I grabbed the cat and went into the store at 5:50 and the girl at Vetco said, "Is this Ollie, because the Vet packed up and we are leaving." I showed her my texts and said you never responded. She said I called you. I pointed out the text that said to wait in the parking lot and they would text you to come in and if you called I do not answer calls I do not recognize. She refused to help me. Vet was Emily Coleman and the Assistant was Taylor P. Who the little inconsiderate a** who could not follow her own system was I do not know. The VETCO CUSTOMER SERVICE I RECEIVED WAS THE MOST INCONSIDERATE SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE? I sat out in the 98 degrees and followed their guidelines. If they knew I was waiting in the parking lot after 3 texts, they could have walked out or responded by text like they said they would. Pure crap of an excuse by the assistant and the DVM.

Decent petco, I bought my male robo hamster here! However it just really smells bad. I went here the night before and it smelt as well but I figured it's close to the end of the day, but I went around 10am the next day and it still just has a strong odor. I know it's a "pet store" and all but never have any other Petcos or petsmart had such a strong odor. Even so, there was a beetle on the floor crawling and while in line, the customer in front of me and I noticed a big cockroach fly past lol. The staff was friendly but I think a thorough clean would be nice.

I am so upset I just received a phone call hours before my dogs grooming appointment telling me they will no longer groom them because of last year there was issues with their grooming not due to my fault I am not grooming the dogs they are but because there was repeated problems with their grooming they will no longer groom them. I had switched from the Hampton Petco to Newport News due to convenience in so when I made this appointment I had no idea that I was no longer welcomed in their salon. So because of the groomer not being professional (sn Ariel the groomer was the grooming manager and now isn't but still working there ??) and realizing they made mistakes maybe they need to do better on their grooming such as making sure their nails are clipped that they didn't burn the dogs with their razors they decide to tell me I'm not welcomed. So I guess the groomer cannot be professional and realize it's not a personal thing when you make a mistake or is it that she feels like she would harm my dogs because of their mistakes that they're not taking me there because I sure did pay them for every groom that they did ? It always bewilders me in the society we live in that people can't own up to their side of being an adult and a professional when you make a mistake correct it with a smile and keep going it's not personal business is never personal. Talking to the assistant store manager and they can't even address or correct the situation they're just doing the usual line "sorry for the inconvenience" blah blah blah blah blah ....... to convey a message days after booking appointment and text confirmation shows a lack of customer service ..... serious lack of maturity in the way this store is operating ??
