My GPS had trouble finding the hotel so be watchful. Tv in the room did not work, lighting at the vanity was inadequate and made it hard to see to shave. Sink had a big crack in it.

I stayed here while traveling for work this past week and didn’t have the best experience. As a solo, female traveler, it was concerning to me that the side exterior door didn’t shut & lock and could be accessed by anyone. (See video attached). The hotel had a smoke smell to it and had some run-down features and fixtures that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned recently. The pool area was closed and there was a closet kept open at the end of the hallway by a brick that looked like it could be a big safety hazard for those staying there with curious kids. If I could do it over, I would’ve called my employer and asked them to cancel my booking and put me up in another hotel, as I didn’t sleep well and felt uncomfortable during my stay, given these conditions.
Safety: Side exterior door was open without having to use key access. Anyone could walk up to it, open it, and access the stairwell to any floor. There was a utility/maintenance closet at the end of the hallway near that door that was propped open by a brick & you could see water in the floor. If it was a boiler room or something of the sort, it could be a safety hazard for guests.

This hotel is ready for a revamp. First impression: torn cushions on seats in lobby, Covid mask required signs that should have come down 3 years ago. In the room, AC sounded like a helicopter, WiFi said it was connected but didn’t work, and the telephone didn’t work when I tried to call front desk. Front desk asked me how my stay was at check out and I said “fair” and she scoffed and rolled her eyes. Haha!

This hotel is disgusting and in serious need of renovation. When we got to our room, the carpet was wet and sticky, the couch had splattered stains across it and the bed was damp - the whole room had a musty/mildew smell to it. The shower barely worked (we had to turn it at a specific angle/temp to get it turn on) and the shower was cut short when I noticed the vent was caked with dirt. My husband and I tried to be polite in notifying management that we would be leaving for another hotel and that the room needed cleaning. The front desk was rude and passive aggressive and all they told us was "Well, we're not going to be able to comp you the room".

By far, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. On our second night, we woke up around 2:30 am to a couple of huge cockroaches on the ceiling. We managed to knock Them to the floor and kill them with a shoe. We reported this to the receptionist that morning and she apologized for the inconvenience. No attempt was made by the staff or management to give us another room Nor was the room checked during the day or even cleaned. The same morning, my sister, niece and I went to breakfast provided by the hotel. There were flies in the breakfast area and flying around the tables as we were trying to eat. Although we requested house cleaning, the rooms were not cleaned or refreshed; we only received new towels and washcloths. We reached out to the hotel manager and the regional manager who referred us back to the hotel manager. They have not reached out to apologize for the inconvenience or anything. Please note, I do not want a free night's stay at any Springhill Suite in the U..S.A. I simply want individuals to be aware of this experience if considering a stay at this hotel. We did not take pictures of the cockroaches probably because we could not believe our eyes at 2:30 AM, so taking pictures was the last thing on our mind. We did manage, however, to capture the flies.

Main reason we chose this hotel was for the indoor pool. Got there and was told it was down for maintenance. The pool was drained and appeared been in " maintenance" for some time now.
The door key would not work as well. We had new keys made abd again wouldn't work. We would need an escort each time we went back to the room.
The breakfast was good.
We lost a day and was unable to get any type of credit or refund.

Absolutely HORRIBLE Property!! Do not stay here!! Bed bugs, broken door that didn’t lock, rooms smelled, couch was torn to pieces, toilets didn’t flush and the elevator didn’t work ! Senior citizens had to walk flights of stairs and Phylicia at the front desk was absolutely unprofessional, rude, racist and needs to be FIRED! She made excuses after excuse for every concern shared to her! Then she became disrespectful when asking for the GM and AGM. We were here for a family reunion and as a titanium Marriott rewards member I took my family to the Hilton Garden Inn across the parking lot and stayed there!! The Hilton was wonderful, their pool was clean, the rooms were nice clean and the staff was professional and helpful!

King suite. Broken main lamp switch / inoperable. Night 2, woke up with bug bites - then noticed fleas in the bed and throughout the room (on a non-pet floor). No offer of reimbursement of any kind. They moved us to another room. 2nd room smelled thickly of cigarette smoke. 3rd room was okay, but extra inconvenient since one of the elevators broke down. Lost a couple hours of our day making the switch. Breakfasts were just okay. Torn up towels, rooms not particularly clean, hotel really is not in great shape.

One night of sleep in a super soft bed, not my preference, waking up to a hot meal with eggs that actually taste like eggs and not a powdered concoction. No AC in the lounge where you ate your food...

This is my families go to hotel when we are visiting the Hampton Roads area. It’s centrally located to everything. We’ve always had a pleasant experience however this will be our last stay at this location. The hotel has deteriorated. The furniture is subpar (spots everywhere) our TV partially worked. Upon arrival the first room assigned to my husband and I smelled of horrible mildew. We went back to the front desk and requested a room change. The staff was very nice and accommodating. They assigned us another room however this time our card keys didn’t work. Another trip to the front desk and this time the front desk attendant tried to get us into our rooms-no success. We were tired and needed food as it was already late. After returning back from grabbing a bite to eat, we stopped by the front desk and our room assignment had moved again. Our other concerns were the size of the beds. We were assured that we were in a queen suite with 2 queen beds. The beds were extremely small, neither my husband or myself could sleep
comfortably together. We have a queen bed at home and have no issues. Lastly, this hotel offers complimentary breakfast. On a scale of 1-5
with 5 being the best..I would give them a 2. The best thing on the menu in my opinion was the oatmeal. Overall, this facility needs a dire makeover. Marriott has a pretty decent chain of hotels to allow the condition of this one to remain unsatisfactory.

On the outside it looks decent, but once you go inside you can tell the hotel is starting to blend in with its run down surroundings. Customer service was awful, the front desk staff was more interested in their phones than actually helping you. I stood directly in front of the clerk for about five minutes while she just scrolled through her phone and barely even acknowledged me when I told her I was checking out. Our room had definitely seen better days, fixtures were rusted, the ac barely kept the room cool, the carpet is in dire need of being replaced, hardly any water pressure, drains were slow, and there were bleach spots on the couch. Will definitely never stay at this location again.

Aside from the usual reliability of the name, in mid August, we chose this hotel in for its location proximity to family. This was definitely NOT our idea of a nice or comfortable hotel. As soon as we walked into the hotel, the cushions in front were ripped and torn. The ceiling had a problem - maybe a leak? It was hot and stayed that way downstairs in the lobby/breakfast area each morning we were there. A fan, the type used for drying floors, was continuously running, apparently in an effort to provide some kind of air circulation, but it was loud and inadequate. Our first room on the 4th floor, was dark and dank - super humid and didn't smell very good. Things actually felt damp. The door didn't lock without us slamming it as hard as we possibly could - at least three times - EVERY time, disturbing our neighbors. One of the small tables was missing. The vent near the tub/shower area was filthy. The sink had a huge crack and the window and screen also had a huge crack and dent. The mattresses were very soft, as if we were in a hole. On several occasions, NONE of the ice machines produced any ice. One of the ice machine areas was a real mess and it looked like there were issues. We managed to get a small amount of ice from the attendant downstairs, who got it from the kitchen. Our son and his family, whom we only see every couple of years, also stayed there and had an even worse time. Their room was flea-ridden and their feet and ankles were all bitten up. They had planned to use the pool. Its renovation was supposed to be finished the previous month, but they were told it was now closed for the whole summer. We both requested new rooms and both got the 2nd floor. Our room was better - not damp at least and the lock on the door worked like it should. The tub in this unit apparently had a defective shape on the bottom, similar to a very shallow bowl area, leading to water always standing in that spot - about one foot in diameter. This made a very, ugly one-foot dark rust spot, that was impossible not to stand on, much as we didn’t want to. However, the hot water at the sink did not work at all. After several requests for maintenance, a person finally came and eventually fixed it. It had been turned off and turning it on made the water run continuously. So the person went to get a tool, which didn't work. After some time, they came back with another tool and this went on until they found that they needed another part. Why they didn't bring a toolkit, instead of going back and forth, we don't know. The part was replaced, which fixed it, finally. Having to move rooms and getting the faucet fixed used up time we would have rather spent with our family. Our time was short as it was. Needless to say, if one room is flea-ridden, we didn't trust the rest of the entire hotel. We have never stayed at such a miserable Marriott hotel. We can’t believe that Marriott would put their name on this one. After our concerns and complaints, we were given one night free. We would have rather not stayed there at all. Our son’s family was not compensated in any way, nor were they contacted at all, which they requested. We will NOT come back to this hotel. We certainly didn't get what we expected for our money.

Hotel is not up to Marriott standards. OUT DATED!!!!
Rooms: Super basic. Almost had a Studio 6 vibe.
Safety: Random people walking the parking lot.
Food and drinks: No bar in the hotel. So it was BYOB in the lobby.
