They have 6 self check out express lanes that are never open (at least when I come in) but only 2 check out lanes when 49 people trying to check out. It’s ridiculous.

They upgraded the store however the staff needs better customer service, took me 10 minutes to find help and when I got someone they had the biggest attitude ever, also restroom are not actually cleaned, toilet seats holder are empty as well as the toilet paper. There was urine all over the seats too

I was almost sad because there were 9 employees standing around and only one checkout lane open, but Shanika was the faster cashier I’ve ever seen and got us out fast. It’s clean and had what I needed.

I would have given 5 stars but some of their prices are too high, and the customer service is terrible across the board from the cashiers to the floor associates and the customer service desk. Managers need to educate their employees on their equal treatment of all customers regardless of race and ethnicity and have employees work on their customer service skills asap.

This is my favorite location, and I have to thank 3 employees: Clove, Juni (Juniper) and Madelyn. They were extremely helpful. Clove hepked me pick out a Christmas gift for my boss, Juni has helped me in the cosmetics dept, and Madelyn helped me find a lotion. I had been searching for. All 3 of these ladies went above and beyond, and they made my shopping experience fantastic.

BEWARE: Management does not care about their workers and staff. Customers always get mad at us but be mad at the real one's who are in charge (ETL's, Store Manager, and maybe even the team leads to an extent). Managers yell at us instead of helping us. They hold us to a higher stander than they hold themselves to. If this target does not even care for the employees then they definitely don't care about you (the customer). Nothing is ever in stock by the way so you might as stop at the Newport News Location so you don't waste your time. ALSO been working here for over a year now and guess what? ALL the regular employees got a raise of .03-0.21 cent. WOW. 3 cent raise? After all the hard work I have done over this past year? If you shop here you don't care about us employees anymore than the mangers do. This store needs to be shut down. Very dirty by the way and they treat us like we're less than human. Apply here at your own will. Shop here if you must. Managers really sit around all day, yell at us when it's busy, but do not help us. They just watch and yell. We do not know what promos are going on in the store because they don't talk to us. We don't get a team meeting to know what to do to help one another around the store everyday. The T in Target does not stand for team because it is everyone for themselves. Plus Jennifer yelling at everyone. Maybe we would come to work If you fired her by the way. We get our 3 cent raises and they got thousands in bonuses. (BTW if you work Christmas Eve you get paid $15/hr so might as well just take the day off)

I'm not sure if it's a bad joke or just local management giving up. Target changed their policy for self checkout to limit theft, in that you are only allowed 10 items or less. That's just fine with me, I'd assume use a regular checkout anyway. However this particar location implemented what I can only call TSA like greeters announcing the self checkout requirements every 2-3 minutes loudly, and of course in the pinnacle of customer service decisions only had one lane open when we were there.Cashiers called for help and the manager came and told the person who showed up to take their break. At the time there were nine people in line.Target isn't the cheapest option, but it used to be pleasant. It looks like that's sorta gone to the wayside.

Very slow drive up pick-up service. I have used this location several times for order pick-up and continually have slow service. Today, I waited 40 minutes. There was one employee bringing orders out, and she was very slow. There was at least 15-20 minutes between the times she was coming out to bring out orders. I attempted to call the store 3 times to speak to a manager to get assistance, and no one answered the phone any time I called. Finally, as I was getting ready to pull away and go into the store to get help, there were two employees delivering and I received my order. The second employee who came out and delivered my order was very kind. Perhaps the employees are just overwhelmed and could use some more support.
