Worthless; there is never anyone there, I go at lunch time, shutters are down, I go after lunch time, the shutters are down, I go before lunch time, the shutters are down. Just replace them with a mail box and be done with it already...

The “staff” are lazy. But, I have to remember what I’m dealing with.

Fire the staff, except for the older guy. The entire female staff stays with the most nonchalant, unprofessional attitude as if they were forced to apply there. They like to look at you and cut you off while your trying to explain your reason for being there. Very unacceptable!

The people who work there are friendly and helpful. No long wait in line and the gentleman behind the counter is always friendly, fast and helpful when I come in to mail packages. I go there frequently and always enjoy my experience even if I have to wait in line.

In spite of the pandemic, and really, so inconvenient, sad times for everybody theses days, I think the workers at this Post Office try very hard to serve up the best customer service possible! As I stand in line 6ft away from the next customer, mask on, I observe a lot of nasty, impatient, rude customers that act like they are mad at the world and take it out on the Postal workers at the window. I see the efforts Postal workers make to be patient and calm and I commend them! I recommend they receive a serious raise too!

I would give the post office a 5. But I'm very upset that the door is locked and I can't check my P.O. Box (July 9th 2020)! That door is never supposed to be locked so we can enter the lobby area for our PO boxes. I do not live in Hampton, so I wasted a trip here. I love the clerk, he always looks out for my packages. He is very friendly and I love talking to him when I can. I have never had any issues with my box. But highly upset that someone inconvenienced me today. I only check my box about once every week in a half to 2 weeks bc of COVID-19. So please do better USPS! Leave the door open like it always has been!!! If you will lock the doors moving forward you need to inform all who have a po box! I'm outside the post office now and I have seen so many people trying the door. Waste of my time. I pay for the box and I'm supposed to have 24-7 access to it!

What a wonderful old building. The interior still sports the old oak woodwork and there is even a large mural on the wall from the 1930s Emergency Relief Administration (ERA). Stop by, enjoy the ambiance, buy some stamps, and relish the old days before stainless steel and Formica...
