The phone operator is no help. Will not connect you to the pharmacy. Asks unrelated questions and refuses to honor verbal request to speak to pharmacy. No reflection on the staff at the pharmacy.

Kroger Pharmacy 27 August 2024
During a visit to Smith Mountain Lake, I inadvertently left my proscriptions at home. I didn’t notice it until that evening at 6 PM, and of course, I panicked.
The Pharmacist at the Kroger store in Hardy, Va. at 80 Westlake Road (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) went out of his way and called the Pharmacy in Northern Virginia to help me resolve this problem. By 7:30 that evening, I had my proscriptions and on my way.
The reason for this note is that the Pharmacist was extremely kind, helpful, and went out of his way to help me resolve this most distressful situation.
I am 77 years old and need to take my prescribed drugs. The Pharmacist could see that I was a little distressed and at the same time understood the full gravity of my predicament. He calmed me down in a very professional way and manner. He then took complete charge of the situation and resolved the matter in an exceedingly proficient manner.
I wished that I had gotten his name, but he was a true professional in every regard and I cannot say enough on how he handled this situation. To me, he was a “Knight in Shining Armor” during a very stressful moment... Thank You kind Sir!

We get all of our prescriptions there and have never had a problem. Workers are friendly and efficient.

Employees are extremely rude and not customer focused at all. They leave the drive thru window shade closed at all times so they don't have to help people. I've been there on multiple occasions where they were closed inside when they should have been open. There have been multiple occasions where I've called in a refill ahead of time and they chose not to fill it until I got there to pick it up. The worst pharmacy I have ever used.

Where to begin…. The posted hours mean nothing. Drive thru is ALWAYS CLOSED WITH WONDOW COVERED. Shouldn’t be so difficult to get the medicine your dr prescribes you. I’m definitely switching to the cvs across street cuz this isn’t convenient at all.literally sat in drive thru unable to back up with someone in front and behind me for an hour to get my medicine.

The best pharmacy in the area. They care about you and the prescriptions you are given. The Pharmacist is very knowledgeable and is there to help.

I really like this pharmacy. I’ve been taking several medications for years, using other pharmacies when I lived elsewhere. These folks are excellent.

Be prepared to wait. If you call you wait. If you show up in person you wait. Drive through is rarely open, if it is, you wait. Also, the entire pharmacy takes a lunch break every day. Hope you don’t need medication while they’re eating. Need to step up and hire more qualified employees.

The employees that CVS is missing are over here. No problems, no hassle, usually no waiting.

Kroger can take orders but they cannot hold orders. I normally don’t shop here. I stopped shopping here 4 years ago but I really needed the items. Don’t shop here until the management is replaced by responsible people who want your business.

A disappointing experience at Kroger this week and not the normal (out of stock or not enough help). Complete lack of customer service from management. I was supposed to get a call the next day regarding an issue this past Friday. I called on Saturday left a message. Four days later (which is today) I still hear nothing. I grab my shopping list and head to Kroger. Asked the customer service person at the front desk regarding the issue and still wasn't resolved. It's hard to spend money with a business when you don't trust them. Taking my list to Food Lion.

I find the produce at my local Kroger (Westlake, Hardy VA) is constantly sub-standard and I always have to sort through to throw out the rotten stuff before I put it in my refrigerator as soon as get home from shopping.
