“I’ve recently gotten into couponing and came to this location to try to get some good deals. While using the self-checkout, I ran into some issues with my coupons not scanning properly and the store manager, Mandi, noticed I was having trouble and immediately stepped in to help. She took me to a register, re-rang my items, and made sure all my coupons applied correctly. She was super friendly, patient, and went above and beyond to make the process smooth.
Excellent customer service.

“CVS Minute Clinic feels like it genuinely saved my life this week. The doctors were literally the nicest people I have met practicing medicine. I have never had such a positive experience leaving a medical practitioner's office. They listened to my concerns and actually took their time with the examination. I left feeling validated and taken care of.The convenience of having the pharmacy right there is top notch in my opinion. One stop for your visit and your medication. Pharm techs were super kind and friendly as well.I don't plan to be sickly in the Roanoke area again, but if I am I'm definitely going back :)”
“The pharmacy staff is fantastic. The one pharmacy tech whose name starts with an M (my brain can’t recall the full name) tried multiple times to get my scripts through and tried to offer me many solutions. I was so surprised that even though they were busy she acted like I was the priority and was very nice at the same time. I listened to another tech with colored hair be super kind to other customers at the drive through too.
There also was a lady here at check out that had a lot of passion for the clothes. She was funny and remembered people. That’s always nice.
The store though could use a bit of an update. It has a general tired and dirty feeling.”

“This is a very nice Kroger and so spacious! It is just as nice as the one at Westlake, but merchandise seems a little less plentiful. Aisles are wide and everything seemed neat. The environment seemed relaxed. There were at least 4 cashiers working and no real long lines. Customer service desk was very attentive and caring. Everyone I talked to was friendly and tried to help. I plan to shop more here when I am in the area.”

“Kroger Pharmacy 27 August 2024
During a visit to Smith Mountain Lake, I inadvertently left my proscriptions at home. I didn’t notice it until that evening at 6 PM, and of course, I panicked.
The Pharmacist at the Kroger store in Hardy, Va. at 80 Westlake Road (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) went out of his way and called the Pharmacy in Northern Virginia to help me resolve this problem. By 7:30 that evening, I had my proscriptions and on my way.
The reason for this note is that the Pharmacist was extremely kind, helpful, and went out of his way to help me resolve this most distressful situation.
I am 77 years old and need to take my prescribed drugs. The Pharmacist could see that I was a little distressed and at the same time understood the full gravity of my predicament. He calmed me down in a very professional way and manner. He then took complete charge of the situation and resolved the matter in an exceedingly proficient manner.
I wished that I had gotten his name, but he was a true professional in every regard and I cannot say enough on how he handled this situation. To me, he was a “Knight in Shining Armor” during a very stressful moment... Thank You kind Sir!”
