The team at Aspen Dental was absolutely exceptional. I walked in with an emergency on a Saturday that’s by appointment only but they were gracious enough to help me. They were so nice and Dr. Scott did an amazing job at pulling my tooth. Today just 3 days later I can’t tell I had work done. A huge Thanks to each one of you again ?

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a medical office. I have never been so uncomfortable and felt so unsafe in the hands of a medical team, and I am not someone who distrusts medical professionals.Neither the assistant or Dr. Scott told me what they were going to do; all I knew was that I was getting a filling and a gingivitis treatment. Dr. Scott barely looked at my chart or my x-rays before numbing my mouth for a filling, then both the dentist and assistant disappeared for over 30 minutes. Then they just appeared behind me and started hacking at my teeth without even telling me what they were going to do. During the cleaning, the assistant wasn't paying attention and she was was spraying water into my nose and the suction wasn't doing anything, so I was practically waterboarded. I had to smack their hands away to get their attention that I couldn't breathe. After the cleaning, Dr. Scott actually looked at my x-rays and saw that the tooth HE said needed a filling was just on "watch" and didn't need to be filled, so I was numbed for no reason. This is also the dentist who said I needed all 4 wisdom teeth out immediately (the oral surgeon said I would only need one out and it wasn't emergent).I walked out of there with dried blood on my lips and around my mouth, and I cried when I got to my car. I will NOT be returning to this office and if anyone asks for a dental office recommendation, I will only say "DO NOT go to Aspen in Harrisonburg".

Best Dentist I’ve EVER been too. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the atmosphere, it feels very peaceful. ALL of the employees are very nice and extremely helpful. I went in feeling very anxious but through the whole visit I felt comfortable. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

**Aspen Dental with Dr. Scott: A Terrific Experience**I'm usually fearful of dental visits, but my experience at Aspen Dental was a game-changer. Their easy booking process allowed me to schedule an appointment at 2am and they even offered me an earlier slot. Dr. Scott was fantastic, making my comprehensive exam smooth and stress-free. His detailed explanations and professional demeanor eased my anxieties. Truly exceptional service that exceeds expectations!**Highly recommended for a worry-free dental experience!**

Absolutely the WORST. I took them because of late apps due to my out of town job. Twice they called to come in early after I explained I can't leave my job. Today I wasted gas, came in early, sat for an hour as the receptionist didn't explain they were short staffed. Plus they live up to their reputation of double-billing insurance, that I had to resolve, AND they "forget" to explain right as you sign up for their 30% interest financing, you're getting CHARGED BEFORE the procedure is done!! I'm now $68 in the hole!!! Low class scammers, lousy service. GO ELSEWHERE. THEY RIP YOU OFF.

Had a great experience at aspen dental today! Everybody was very professional and made sure everything was done correctly and in a timely manner! Tammie checked me in and made me feel very welcomed. My dental assistant “Essence” was friendly and very attentive and professional and made me feel good about my first time being there! Dr. Scott assessed my mouth and made a great decision and extracted my tooth quickly and efficiently. The office manager, Justice helped me efficiently work through my treatment plan and future dental work I need to get done. She also answered any questions or concerns I had very clearly. Any staff that I passed on my way in and out spoke to me and were very friendly! Nothing but a great experience

Essence,Gracie,Tammy & Justice were absolutely amazing, kind, informative and helpful. However Caitlin wad pure trash. Just absolutely rubbish. I asked for a few medical terms to be clarified and Caitlin was ? aggressive at me. Caitlin has zero customer service skills and she's mean as a wet hen. Avoid this place. Caitlin is mean, mean, mean. Bless her heart.

I just came in to get an appointment for the first time which was very urgent and they seemed very nice while i was making the appointment and that they would help me, but i came and sat here for an hour just for them to tell me their system was down and that they couldn’t take me. when they were taking other people that had appointments for times after me? this is ridiculous considering i canceled another appointment to come to this one. not coming back. idek what the problem was but fix your system and actually schedule people when you can take them.

I was forced to use this office due to the limitations of my dental insurance. Every experience I had with them was negative. Their office staff is very rude and lack the basic operational skills to successfully schedule patients and handle billing. Their level of customer service is the lowest I have ever seen in a doctors office, the staff is rude and condensing to nearly all patients. They have very predatory practices when it comes to dental care, they focus on the upsell of dental procedures at the expense of sound dental advice. Their pricing tends to be somewhat higher than the other dentists in the area. When I had a crown done with them, they had me drive to their office twice after confirming the appointment only to turn me away saying they didn't have the supplies once and the staff the second to perform the procedure. For someone who works, this is a very frustrating situation.Today although I was an existing client, they acted as though I were a new client and let me know they could only take a certain amount of patients with my insurance. Not only that is they would not commit to me leaving their office with at least a temporary solution to a broken tooth due to being understaffed. They only told me this after they had billed me for the full visit as if I had no insurance.I would strongly discourage anyone who has options to look elsewhere, I am personally at a point where paying out of pocket to go to a more experienced dentist with a competent staff is a better option than playing the lottery to see if Aspen will take my insurance.

Had back to back appointments with my girl friend to support her due to having severe dental anxiety. We were told when we got there that her appointment has been cancelled due to not having verbal confirmation the day before the appointment. We both received MULTIPLE texts to confirm through a link, which we did. We also received two phone calls each, one of which on the day before. My girl friend confirmed electronically and verbally a few days before, but they did not take note of her confirmation. Therefore when we got there, we were told her appointment had been cancelled. I cancelled my own appointment right then and there. If you cannot confirm electronically then don't send the texts, and maybe don't require confirmation the DAY BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT.

Highly upset with their communication skills. I’m scheduled for a root canal, I go in to have one done for them to tell me that the system is down and that will call me back when it starts back up. They never called! So I called them to reschedule. And they tell me that will call me in one, to two days. They never called! It takes me! 2 weeks later ! Just to call, to have them tell me they will call me back to reschedule! And I HAVEN'T SEEN ONE PHONE CALL BY THEM! I’m paying for my procedure! And nothings being done about it? Y’all just gonna wait until it gets worse ? And say there is nothing you can do about it?

I booked an appointment today for my 11year old son. I called and verified the issue he was having and his age. They had all the information prior to his appointment. When my son arrived the took a payment of nearly $400 then examined him only to tell us that because of his age they would not treat him and that since he was so young he needed to see a pediatric dentist. I was appalled by this as they had know his age prior to the appointment. Why would they even schedule or take my money if they knew they couldn't treat him? Then when I called back the staff was absolutely horrible. They continued to interrupt me while I was talking, showed no sympathy or remorse for essentially scamming a mother out of all that money and leaving an 11 year old with no treatment or care. The "manager" went as far as to tell me my son and me will never be welcome there again as if I would ever in my life go there again. Then hung up on me. I will be spreading the word about how horribly I was treated and warning anyone I can!

Do NOT go here. I had an appointment at noon and waited 45 minutes before being seen! Apparently there was malfunction with technology, which is fine things happen (but please tell your patients especially if they are on a tight schedule). While waiting another patient came in asking about her credit/account and there were billing issues discussed in front of the whole lobby area! Then, after my dental x rays (shoutout to the awesome dental assistant! She was great!) I explained my dentist anxiety and reason for being there was a second opinion. The assistant then had to go track down the dentist, “Dr. Scott”. Apparently, he was the only dentist on staff and there were no dental hygentist on staff (I wonder why…) Finally Dr Scott came in and started going over my chart, with no introduction to himself (terrible customer service) and I asked him who he was, to which he responded that “I just walked in the room, I was getting to that” and I was taken aback, like excuse me you went to the chart first and had no intention of talking to me.The appointment continued in which he asked what my concerns were and I explained that I was looking for a second opinion and he pointed out from a zoomed out X-ray my “cavity” and I asked him if he could zoom in to show me, and he asked me what my hesitation was? And I told him that all the shadows looked the same, to which he responded, “When did you start reading X rays?” I was totally done by this point. I thanked him for his time and I appreciated him seeing me and he continued to dismiss me, even though I clearly was trying to leave and talked around me pointing out various “issues” going on despite telling them I had just been to my regular dentist the week before…funny how I magically grew two more cavities in one week. I get people have bad day but apparently the other recent reviews are just as accurate and I ignored them. Don’t bother going here you will save two hours of your life.

* Do NOT recommend based on several things...* I booked an appointment in June for a tooth I broke 20 years ago, the morning of my appointment they called and canceled.* I finally got an emergency appointment July 15th and told them at that point I needed the tooth pulled due to constant pain and I had already gotten antibiotics from urgent care.* I explained I didn't need the 45 minutes of additional x rays (just those for that tooth) and finally, the Dentist (who was very nice) looked at my tooth and said he could pull it that day.* They gave me a lot of local anesthesia and after cutting around the gum and trying to pull the tooth for several minutes, told me they couldn't get it out and I would have to see an Oral Surgeon first thing in the morning. I was supposed to get a refund of $270 since I was made to prepay before they procedure.I spent another 30 minutes getting "checked out and when I asked the office staff if I was getting a refund, was told it would be back on my card in 7-10 days.* I got to the Oral Surgeons office first thing in the morning, they had NO referral and Aspen never responded to them for my x rays. (This Surgeon wasn't even in the office until that afternoon)*3 weeks go by and no refund. I Call the billing Department and NO ONE from the Harrisonburg office has even attempted to give me a refund. The woman assures me she will have the office manager call me back and several days pass with no word again.*I call the billing Department back and they can't reach anyone in Harrisonburg.I call the Harrisonburg office and again ask where my refund is. The office manager is supposed to call me back. The next day I go to the Harrisonburg office myself and the Office Manager tells me she processed my refund on August 1st.I call Billing back and they tell me the office manager has only JUST started the process for a refund and it will take a week for Billing to process my refund.* It's August 14th. A month has gone by and NO REFUND.DO NOT GO HERE. THE OFFICE MANAGER is Inept. My refund should have been processed by the next day and they sent me home with a partially pulled tooth.I will NEVER recommend this office to anyone and it's not even based on the Dr. I shouldn't have to call repeatedly over a month and stop back in and STILL don't have my money back.

The first time my husband was seen here they were very unprofessional and the dentist acted like he had no clue what was going on so we didn't return. My husband started having tooth trouble so I made my husband an appointment and he took off work which takes awhile for him to be able to do he showed up for his appointment and he was told he couldn't be seen because the appointment wasn't in their system even after he had shown proof of the confirmation and all. Very unprofessional we will not be returning to this dental office. If I could give zero stars I would!
