I was returning a few items for an elderly friend of mine who no longer drives. I went to the register that I’ve always gone to ever since Covid. I saw a lady over by the dressing rooms, but I thought it was just a customer so I said hello hello no one answered so I called the store number and asked the manager to send someone A few minutes later the lady I saw over by the dressing room came over. I said I kept yelling hello hello she said I didn’t hear you and I didn’t see you which is odd to me because that area is not far from the register. Anyhow she said well you know there’s eight other registers that are open that you can make a return at 😳. I said I don’t want go to another register because I don’t want walk that far. That’s why I came to this register. Rude!!!

I could spend hours shopping at Belk, & in fact, I do! Lol, I love this store in Harrisonburg and grateful it's close. It's a go to happy place for me as I can always find fabulous deals. You got to be willing to shop and look thoroughly and you will be delighted at the money you save. If you can't find it in store, go on line! Great deals there too!

Hey Mr Hendrick, care to know why your chain is failing? Your employees stand around chatting vs serving the customer or their dept ie cleaning up etc. The Harrisonburg, VA store is a dump. I went in intending to purchase, left empty handed and disgusted. I won't be back.

To your store manager, I will say this you have some RUDE, discriminatory employees. A manager on duty was no better, and her name was Deborah, I believe. To the lady who acted as if my Hispanic husband was a germ, you really pis@ed me off lord forgive me, but you were disgusting and MOST CERTAINLY need to be retrained on your store and companies policies. I have been a general manager of full service hotels with conference centers and have also managed over 1700 plus conventional multi family apartment complexes, and Harrisonburg seemed wonderful and diversified until the likes of you and the young girl will not call her a lady as she acted like a child, she had a blonde ponytail and pink sweater and was talking to another older lady working to the left of the men's fragrance counter, my little brother WHOM IS VERY ILL and simply asked you about a cologne you told him oh we don't carry that but low and behold after dealing with the lady that was rude to us we were walking out and spotted the cologne well that was the topping on the cake and I asked for a manager, Deborah came (and even then while your older Co worker was helping a customer you were standing there looking over at us and talking to your coworker while she was serving a client about how I demanded for a manager we could hear you so I know the customer did then you were laughing and I told Deborah right then to look at you and your behavior which to no surprise she didn't she just stated she will talk to them) I explained to Deborah how I felt we were treated and she said oh I apologize not even looking over at what you were doing when I told her, at any rate she offered me a gift card..ha really I didn't WANT ANYTHING FOR FREE...We own a small construction company. We spent over $3000.00 at some place called Tysons Galleria mall. The only reason we even came to your store is because I come from a long line of DEDICATED BELK SHOPPERS who, for the majority of our years, have had nothing but great experiences. Just trust and know. I am taking this higher up. I live more than 9 hours from your store so shopping there will never happen. However, the way were treated and the horrible and hurt and embarrassment you caused us, especially my husband, all he kept saying was it's okay, let's just go...will be going further than this. My brother is also very ill ? you need either re-training or fired the 2 of you, at least if not all 4. We make our money by hard work, and we have been loyal Belk shoppers, so you will not take that from us, nor will you get away with treating my husband in a HUMILIATING WAY .
