A terrible company with terrible customer service. My family has used them for a while but we will be closing all accounts.

This is the worst bank ever. They thrive or pay their employees by overdraft fees Ever realized how.banks.make.money? The rich don't get.the overdraft fees. Would not recommend this bank to even someone I do not.care for. They are the worst.

Came through drive thru on Saturday to Deposit Efs checks for my husbands business and he asked cashier to look up his last Efs check transactions and she refused. She stated that they have all the lanes to take care of and my husband would have to come back Monday-Friday inside bank. However my husband is an over the road truck driver and cannot usually make it to bank during the week so the weekends is the only time he has to come to bank. Keep in mind it was 11:45 and they close at 12 my guess is she didn’t want to deal with it being so close to closing at noon. I’ve worked customer service for almost 21 years and this is not customer service. teller 1913 is who served us!

Things are very difficult right now for a lot of people, myself included, due to literally everything being high in price. Does DuPont or the employees care? Not a single bit. I'm doing everything I can while waiting on my first check from my job to come in, the main thing being Door Dash. I needed gas yesterday and overdrafted by $23 in my account (my deposit from Door Dash processes today and will be in the account tomorrow, so only one full day of my account being negative) . Woke up today to $50 taken by DuPont for overdrafting. I called them to explain my situation. I get told, in the very fake pleasant voice all tellers have, that there isn't anything that could be done, but her suggestion was for me to set up overdraft protection. I asked her, "So, I overdraw by $23 and you all take $50?" Her response, "Yeah, so like I said the overdraft protection...." Absolutely pathetic. I know for a fact they could've given the fees back because she stated, "As a curtesy to you, I'll return one fee...." Talking to me like I was some bum looking for a hand out. I don't know why I expected anything else from them, I guess because people rave about how much better Credit Unions are. When push comes to shove, banks couldn't care less about you, and DuPont is just a bank. I don't know who this lady was that I spoke to, but I hope she has the day she deserves.

The page says "closing soon" at 11:15 am. There was a long line that people waited in, then when I get to the window, they are closed. Really? Frustrating.....

Very easy to open an account online with the option of picking up your new card at a branch location or having it mailed. Staff was super friendly at the branch in downtown Staunton. However, they are extremely behind the times. What is the point of connecting an external account for transfers if after the transfer have been completed you still have to wait 3 days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and Holidays) before they release your transferred funds?? Transfers everywhere else in the World are immediately (a matter of seconds) available. This is a major problem for me as I always need access to my monies.

Your employees are always very good. But today at the Kaylor park, Harrisonburg location I have to express one employee that was just extraordinary. I unfortunately did not get her name. She was a younger black woman with short curly hair. As I said your employees are always very nice and cordial but this woman went above and beyond and helped me with a situation that could have been very stressful. She helped me replaced my debit card and put ahold on my account due to a breach. She has a desk as soon as you walk in right in the center. I hope she's recognized because she's really awesome. Thanks again

They push online banking, but if you need help, you have to wait 15 minutes on the phone. EVERY time I have to call, I am put on hold where they play loud promotions every 2 minutes. Too much. And most of these promos are "Did you know you can go to our web site?" Gee, thanks for the tip while I'm on hold because your Web site is down. I mention the long wait and the loud commercials to the customer service rep, and her reply is "today is unusually busy, so you had to wait a few minutes." What nerve and how arrogant. I dont need customer service to debate my opinion. And, as I mention, it's not unusual: it's EVERY time I am forced to call, about every 2 months. Hey, I dont expect perfection, which is why I gave 2 stars. Service isnt great, perhaps satisfactory. Add in some cheerful personality and a thank you, maybe DCCU could get to 3 or 4 stars. But meanwhile, I think they've gotten too big for themselves.

These people are the worst. They use your savings (which.you are forced to have) to pay bills that you paid thru checking. Then you get fines from the bank AND the company you are paying!. How convenient. Stay away. Awful.

DuPont should be ASHAMED of themselves. I waited on hold for 15 minutes to speak to someone when finally the machine told me to press star to hold my place in line. I waited 35 minutes before calling back and placing myself in line again. When someone finally called me back they let it ring one time under "RESTRICTED" and then hung up leaving me a voicemail to call back if I needed them. Never even left me an extension I could call back to. This is not the first time a situation was handled unprofessionally. I have never had a problem before my first bad experience but with this level of unprofessionalism, I feel like I should take my banking needs elsewhere. So disappointed!

Best financial institution in the area. Location's sorta inconvenient for downtown dwellers, but the excellent rates on auto loans and savings /Green Checking more than make up for that. Bank is always extremely clean, well kept, employees are very friendly and helpful.
