Travis was wonderful n did everything he could for my great grandmothers funeral. The initial meeting with the 2men who came to our home to pick her up was a little awkward But my mother and grandmother enjoyed Travis

At the recommendation of our veterinary practice, we took our sweet cat here after she suddenly passed away. It only took them a couple of business days to cremate her and have her back to us in a temporary urn, along with a certificate of cremation.
They were really great and professional, and diligently helped us in-between our crying spells. It only cost $150 for our cat, and they also cremate on a per-animal basis (no batch cremations). I doubt you can find a more affordable way.

My ~15 year old Mocha passed away, it was suggested I called as they do pet cremation. They answered everything quickly and matter of a fact and made the process straightforward without making it cold and transactional. I know it sounds silly but she was mine and my mom’s dog, then my mom passed away and having Mocha left with me helped a lot so her passing was very emotional. When my husband and I arrived with her to the funeral home they were very nice and directed me where to take her and a lovely man came out and met us took her very gently, what happened next was the PIVOTAL moment where my grief and sadness in goodbye felt validated and respected when I turned to see a paw print cart that they gently placed her box on and together rolled her into the crematorium. “She’s just a dog” but she was my best friend for most of my adolescence and all of my adult life this far and they acknowledge the value of her life so blatantly I can’t put into words what that means to me and my husband. I’ve added a couple of pictures of Mocha just so you can put a furry face to the name. God bless Kyger’s Funeral home and the staff there.

Kyger did an amazing job with handling my grandmother’s death. Travis was very understanding of our wishes for her and was very comforting and understanding during conversations between him and my grandfather. He made sure to explain things well and did not rush us at any point. Thank you Travis!

Terrible, They sent the wrong forms 3x. Replaced the obituary with one his horrible companion wrote. They did not honer the family's wishes. Do not intrust your loved one to these people!!!

Would like to express gratitude towards Kyger for helping us with our grief and final preparations for OUR CAT, Ivy! Very compassionate and walked us through the steps of paperwork and cremation. They did an excellent job, would highly recommend- they have over the years for us done well- my dad passed away in January, 1981. Kyger was there for us when they were on South Main Street in Harrisonburg. They thought of everything and got our family through two of the toughest times in our lives. Much appreciated.

I do not write many reviews online, but I just had to had to write one for Kyger as they so beautifully helped us navigate us through some of the hardest days of our lives. We just lost our beloved Mom and Kyger made the process as easy as something like this could have been. Travis and Melinda, Fred and every single person we encountered there were absolutely stellar: kind, respectful, thoughtful, easily accessible, efficient. I don't have enough words. Thank you to whole team. We will never forget what you did for our Mom.

We used Kyger for a family member that had to be brought home to Pennsylvania, and they did a fantastic job from first call through seeing him safely back to PA.

I recently lost my beloved dog, Corky, and had him cremated at Kyger Funeral Home. I want to express my gratitude to Chaz Dean for his compassion and kindness during this heartbreaking experience. His calm and caring manner helped me get through my loss and put me at ease that my furbaby would be well taken care of. I'd also like to thank Melinda at the front desk for the kindness shown to me that day. I will forever appreciate both of you...
