The bakery at Martin's has been our go-to for birthdays. Not any longer. I paid $20 for a cake that was lopsided and had almost no middle filling. Thankfully the birthday girl enjoyed it still.

The prices of Martin’s was always higher than most grocery stores, but I always chose to go there because I like their produce section and salad bar. I went to look at the raspberries yesterday and they were not in good shape, some molding. Additionally, I went to get a Caesar salad and the lettuce for Caesar salads was browned and wilted in some areas. I waited while a worker restocked the bar, but the lettuce was still bad after she restocked it. I’m not sure if they grab lettuce that’s about to expire to use up, but it was in really bad shape. I didn’t get a salad. I did enjoy their bakery section (small, but adequate) and found their meat section, though expensive, had necessary items.

They have the worst salad bar I’ve personally been to, and I’ve been to many. The items are decent, but the romaine lettuce is always brown as are the carrots.

Martin's in Harrisonburg, VA is conveniently located off U.S. 33 (E. Market St.) and easily accessed by I-81. Please do not judge your upcoming experience when you pull in the parking lot. This exterior is tired and needs updating. I think it is important to entice your potential customers by having an exterior that screams: "Hey you, you need to come in and spend money, lots of money!" This location's exterior screams: "My name is why you are here, come on in and don't look at my clothes". However, once you do make it inside, you will find the typical layout of a grocery store that carries this name. Navigating is easy and the selections are great. The energy was upbeat and found that most customers looked happy. I haven't been to this location in many years. This is not my usual go-to grocer, but can appreciate having this option in town. Their prices are not as good as some of their competitors, but the do have great options. Overall, I think Martin's is a good option, but not my sole option. If I'm close by and need something that I know they carry, I'll be there.

My son is an employee of your store. Yesterday his father was injured in the explosion that happened in Harrisonburg. Today your store delivered a care package to our home that was more than amazing!! I am VERY proud to say that my son is a Martin’s employee! For him to be a part time high school kid who has worked for your company about 6 months says a lot about your business! Thank you again! We are more than grateful for what you did for our family!

Horrible customer service. The clerks in the meat dept act like it kills them to wait on customers. The manager on duty shoemaker was rude and arrogant I'll go to Kroger where I can get nice cs

Very good customer services. Store is well organized. Prices are a little high but the array of products is vast which makes up for the price. They also have a gas station.

Love their salad bar! Smoked Gouda pasta, seafood salad, shrimp pasta, broccoli salad to name just my favorites. Go to the deli and get their veggie crunch salad and then the made fresh daily sushi.

This is my favorite shopping place in the 'burg! I appreciate 24 hours, fresh fruits and vegetables, bulk candy, and the friendly staff. I recently went vegan and they have a great selection for me as a beginner. I also like the Savory magazine as it provides good info and recipes. Another positive really worth mentioning is the gracious and caring staff and folks who shop there. I recently needed assistance due to surgery and folks were always just willing to get carts or return the accessible cart. I was brought to tears many times by this positive environment. You can't always look to know folks are having a bad day, but a positive greeting while grabbing some food can be lifting. While everyone is great, the positive exchanges from Ms. Suzanne and LaShawn have been wonderful. Thanks for being here. It makes this big city girl who moved to a more rural experience happy to find great quality in a welcoming store.
