  We have had our kids enrolled here since 2020, and it's so hard to admit that one has to work a full time job and as a result have to resort to someone watching your children, but the staff there are so amazing and involved and I can personally say my children have had great experiences there. Shout out to Jurnee and Hannah for being just so good at their job and making my children feel safe and look forward to going back the next day. Everyone there's great, and I'm happy to have chosen them to watch after my children 🙂

  This place still rubs me the wrong way. It had been about nine months since my kids had went there, and I was told that I owed money to them which I never owed them any money they were just trying to get money and if anything was owed it would’ve been to me because my son who was one year old at the time Got five stitches in his head from this daycare now the girls that work there were amazing well some of them, but the management was horrible. Disrespectful rude would not contact me about my children. They would have one of the girls from the staff do it because we were very friendly with each other I recommend you doing your research before you going here cause some of these things I’ve seen they said about other people‘s kids was the same things. They said about my daughter before they kicked her out for not wanting to be there. Clearly there was something wrong cause I never had these issues at a different daycare only at this one, so please make sure you do your research before you come here they change their name because they was having such bad reviews on the last one

  The staff were great with my daughter for the years she attended MinnieLand (now LP)
  However, I (along with multiple other parents) was recently told that I owed thousands in back pay from an extra monthly copay that I was never informed of. I had to unenroll my daughter because it was just getting to be too difficult financially and they then informed me that I have only 30 days to pay off the large sum left of my back pay. Just keep an eye out if you enroll here and make sure they clarify what you’re supposed to pay.
  
  I received childcare assistance and this seems to have only been an issue for others who receive assistance. As far as I can tell at least. Just be careful, I’m already in an impossible spot and I don’t want anyone else to get caught up too.

  As a former employee I would like to leave a complaint in regards to the management. During my time working at Minnie land- management practices, including breaches of confidentiality, inadequate communication, disrespectful behavior, and unethical treatment of both children and employees. These concerns have created an unwelcoming and worrisome environment for both children and adults at Minnie Land.

  Somewhat late review, but still rubs me the wrong way. This one is from 2008-2009. My two year old son just walked out of this daycare. Next to the staff and reception, a child went straight out on the busy traffic street. A complete stranger took him by the hand and brought him back to the Minnieland and asked if he went there. Next day we were asked not to bring him back in again, because he was too much of a "risk". I feel sorry to this day for not using!

  Kind and caring teachers. Management blames the staff for any issues and is not accountable for their actions. I would advise anyone looking at this center to check the publicly available inspection reports through department of social services.

  On my way back to my job after my lunch break I saw a minniland bus drive by and a Male Bus driver was yelling at the children at the top of his lungs, clearly very angry about a child touching something he or she shouldn’t have and he was yelling at them asking “did you touch that” and “I told you not to touch anything” repeatedly extremely loud, angry and rude. I could hear him and his echo, mind you I’m about to walk in through the back of my office building from my lunch and he’s stopped at a red light by the mexideli gas station so I’m a pretty good distance away from the road altogether and yet I managed to hear every word he was yelling to those poor babies… that’s unacceptable and disgusting, even if the child was in the wrong they should never be spoken to like that ESPECIALLY from some stranger who’s only Job is to drive them around and make sure they’re safe and secure… I did call it in to their facility and made them aware… I hope they can handle the situation accordingly.

  Very unprofessional center. Not dedicated to students education or well being while attending this daycare location.Front end (Director) will go over your children’s behavior/progress In the middle of the hallway while parents drop off /pick up exposing kids goals/ behavior to others.

  TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNMy 3-year-old daughter Lauren has been attending Minnieland Academy in Harrisonburg, Virginia, for 1.5 years. The staff members are so friendly and helpful. They made my daughter feel so welcome on her first day. And every day since then they greet her in the same affectionate way.Ramona, the Director and Beth, the Assistant Director know each child by their first name; as well as greeting the parents. That is amazing because the COVID-19 virus has required extra work and added steps to ensure each child is safely meeting the new requirements. They do this seamlessly.Lauren looks forward to her days spent at Minnieland Academy. She is learning from the curriculum designed for her age group. She is growing socially as well through her interaction with her classmates. Because these early years of development are so important, our family is especially happy that Lauren is attending Minnieland Academy.Brian D. Eye

  Minnieland of Harrisonburg is well run, clean, safe, and an amazingly caring educational setting. Teachers are well trained and fantastic about making meaningful connections with each child.

  Love this daycare. My kids can't wait to get to daycare every morning and they love the activities they have for them.
