Rootstock Wine Bar and Provisions is a terrific and wonderful addition to downtown Harrisonburg, described as a gem and an excellent part of a trip. The atmosphere and vibe are cozy, inviting, elevated, and great, with cool music that is not too loud for nice conversation or laughing loudly with friends. It is a go-to place with a ridiculously good and wonderful selection of wines without being pretentious, and it also offers a great variety of NA beverages, cider, and fun light snacks like delicious cheese platters, cheeses, and breads. The staff is the best, personable, enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable without being pretentious, making visitors feel welcome. The establishment is committed to supporting local businesses and causes, featuring local art shows, partnerships, themed events, fun food and drink specials, and featured local guests. It is perfect for a fun time, date night, girls night, or a night on the town, and is highly recommended for any wine lover.
Had an amazing time at Rootstock! Kira was so helpful and friendly, and chose wines that perfectly matched our tastes. Beautiful, cozy space, with board games and blankets available. Adorable patio with shaded seating and music. I’d love to come back for an event! :)
