Small, full service Post Office. Had a package containing lithium batteries that had been rejected with conflicting information twice at a nearby CPU in my hardware store. The Postmaster himself at this Post Office was manning one of the two stations and spent time looking up the regulations, making calculations and labeling so my package could finally be mailed. Thanks! Great, pleasant service!

Absolutely horrible!!! I had a package that was on track to be delivered 6/16/25. The delivery was to my home on a dead end street. It was loaded on truck at 6:10am, to be delivered by 3:47pm. Incredibly, it also shows as being returned to the post office at 9:54 am after a delivery attempt was made! Does anyone know of a carrier going out on their route and returning in thee and a half hours? Not only that, but I was home ALL DAY, working in the front of the house, on a dead end road. NO ONE came to the house. I did NOT request the package to be retuned to the post office for me to pick up. Had I done that, why would it have been loaded on the truck in the first place? Not only is their service incompetent, they are not honest. I now have to dispute this item with the seller due to their being a lazy delivery person who just cant seem to deal with a package.

I’ve always had a good experience at this post office. The staff may come off a little gruff at times, but it’s clear they’re hardworking and efficient and I appreciate that. You can tell they deal with a large volume of people and packages every day, but keep things moving. How many times do they have to ask, “Is there anything hazardous, perishable, or flammable in your package?” in a day. Thanks for getting the job done.

Was here several times during the holiday and found Sapinderjit to be very friendly, upbeat and helfpul. She's very nice to all customers, and always thanks everyone for their patience (today she was the only one out at the counter for the 15 mins. I was there). Looked at her name badge knowing I was going to write this review. Much appreciate her kindness, helpfulness and professionalism!

I read some horrible reviews and was nervous about going to this post office. I want to counter the negative reviews with my own experience. I’ve been three times. The two employees behind the counter (a man and a woman) were extremely friendly and professional. I did witness an unfriendly customer on the second visit. He was huffing and puffing because the line was long, but other than that just a normal post office.

This branch has become the center of the universe for screaming arguments. I walked into the counter area two days ago and there were two separate arguments raging - and I mean RAGING - between the nasty women behind the counter and two very PO'd customers. A small child accompanying the next woman in line began to cry.....don't cry, honey, its just the friendly, helpful USPS employees here at Haymarket, doing what they do best - arguing with customers. It took less than a minute before one of them began arguing with me about something that was indisputable, and when I asked for the supervisor, she tried to shout me down. That did not end well, for her. The screaming is fun to listen to, but it is not worth the 10 - 15 minutes you spend standing in line waiting to get to the counter. Forget this place - go to Gainesville or Broad Run or Catharpin. Those three branches have pleasant, competent employees who will really try to help you.

Not the kind of customer service I am used to from USPS. Got a letter from USPS that I had to go to nearest Post Office with item and packaging for a damaged product delivered to me in early January. Unfortunately I threw away the item and packaging, not expecting to have to produce them almost 2 months later-my bad, lesson learned--but I do have photos. The clerk at the counter of the Haymarket office was befuddled. Said she couldn't make a decision because the Postmaster was on vacation, not back for another week. She attempted to say that I was too late, that I had to bring the letter in within 20 days. I pointed out that the letter was dated Feb 9 and today is the 24th-I had until Mar 1 to respond. Next a woman from the back came out, said she knew the rules and the claim would be denied, even though the letter says the claim "may" be denied without the product. Her immediate reaction was that I was trying to commit a fraud because I couldn't bring in the package and broken item. This is a $20 item and the claim was filed by the vendor, not me. The payment would go to a small business trying to get by in these tough times. This Post Office has forgotten about good customer service

I will second what other reviewers said about the lady behind the counter. She is SO RUDE!!! MISERABLY RUDE makes me never want to go back, but maybe that's the point?? Way to spoil peoples' day.
