Avis has called to remind us of our reservation multiple times. Then on the day of, the location calls to say they don’t have any minivans. They said they would call to see if the airport has one. Turns out they said they did and they were going to bring it to the Herndon location and call us when it’s ready. No call. When we finally decided to check to see what was going on and THEY WERE CLOSED. So we go to the airport location. They have been no help as well. We are so disappointed in the customer service and the fact that our reservation meant nothing.

Staff is always helpful and easy location to access. Sometimes they are limited on vehicles but have always had a very positive experience there.

Got a huge car that I didn’t want and paid more at an off airport location compared to airport location. At airport return gas reading was in Oreos t and charged.

I am an Amazon Area Rep and I have to rent a car every 28 days to perform my job duties. Avis is the preferred car rental and we have a corporate set up with Avis which includes express service. I dread the day I have to go into Avis to return my car to get a new one due to the fact that the cars are filthy inside and out. There is only 1 person working who has to do the rentals and clean the cars. It is so bad that I either have to wait for the car to be cleaned or do it myself. This last time, there were 4 other customers waiting and my car had not yet been cleaned. The employee did what he could but I ended up spending about 2 hours cleaning the interior which was absolutely gross with food in the cup holders. This is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. And to top it off, they always have to give me a vehicle that is not practical for my job stating that they have no other cars. I have made my concerns to my corporate management about this and recommend that we go back to Enterprise.

I purchased a one day rental thought Uber for less than $70 and neither Uber nor the employee at the pickup Avis store mentioned that since I was dropping the car off at another location I would be charged a $75 fee. That’s a ridiculous fee amount considering the fee is more than the actual rental and no one was transparent about it during the process!

The Avis car rental location in Herndon is very convenient, and the staff including Marta are super friendly and helpful.

I wanted to rent a car for the second time but they refused to rent the vehicle, I felt racism and negligence on the part of the employee, I showed all my papers in order, my international driver license and they refused to rent me the vehicle.

Well first thing first customer service was the worst, made the whole thing a nightmare for me. Once I arrived to Avis in Herndon, I explained everything to Tade & he was quick to help/resolve the issue. He quickly helped me get into a rental, no issues no problems. He was a fast paced worker, he had 4 people waiting, he handled everything fast & professionally. He made everything smoothly for me. As for customer service they were no help & made everything 100x more stressful. Moving forward I will be personally be going in or calling Tade at Herndon location to assist me with my next rental. Thank you so much Tade.

Avis customer service standards are falling. A DMV machine rejected my license even though it's valid for another 5 years. Being a President Club member doesn't result in any special privileges, let alone treatment.

The agent was very rude, let me know several times that he only works at this location once a week and threw his manager under the bus saying he couldn’t switch my rental to another card because I prepaid for the rental. Please continue looking for another rental company, save yourself the hassle of a ruined day.
