**BE WARNED BEFORE YOU MAKE RESERVATION!!** I want to emphasize, This is second time I had the same problem.I made a reservation a week ago for a truck. I called 2 days earlier to confirm my reservation. Then, on the day before my reservation, at 5.30 pm in the evening, I was informed I dont have a truck!My only option is to go to a further, different location and get a different truck and even then the truck availability isn't guaranteed! All they can offer for this massive inconvenience is free 25 miles !!It's 6 pm before my move. How am I suppose to find a backup at this hour. Fooled me twice, so its on me. But, I am never doing business with this company again.

Difficult place to find and once you do, the office appears abandoned except for one small closet from which they do their business. We had to wait awkwardly while someone got us a truck from another location as it wasnt ready for us despite the website saying it was available. They charge 150 to rent a truck and then they return some of it when you're done, and if you don't fill up afterwards the system automatically tacks on 30 dollars plus the amt they fill it up with. I thought this place would be cheap as we only needed a small truck for an hour but it ended up being more expensive than a big name brand. Go with Uhaul: they're updated, more professional, and don't charge exorbitant hidden fees. This place is the farthest from "budget" I've come across.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... REPEAT.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! ---Location was empty; no truck at appointed place and time ---No acceptable resolution or solutions ---Forced me to postpone my move day//Not able to move as scheduled due to not having a truck ---Costing me thousands of dollars and an unspeakable slew of inconveniences related to other services... Movers, utilities, rent, rescheduling move date, plus a whole lot more... I reserved a truck on May 31, 2021 to be picked up at the Dulles location at 4265-D Brookfield Corp Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151. When I arrived to get my moving truck; 2-hours after the locations opening; the office was dark and empty and it appeared to be closed/vacated. I attempted to call the local number (703) 793-1443 ... no answer. Then I called the 1800-455-1332 waited on hold for several minutes and spoke with extremely unhelpful persons at a call center which I suspect is located in India. They could not comprehend my concerns and followed a script of questions that they would not deviate from with no regard for the issue of... NO ONE ON LOCATION; NO TRUCK! All they would do is ask for my confirmation number and reservation information. When I asked to speak with a supervisor they transferred me to dead line.

Don’t even bother putting in a reservation with these guys, even if it’s a month and a half in advanced, because they probably won’t have the truck you rented available when it comes time to pick it up. Probably won’t even call you to let you know either. However, they might find you one that’s an hour away and put you even further behind schedule than you already were initially. Never dealt with a business so poorly managed.

Made this reservation a month in advanced and even called a week prior to pick up to ask to move it for a day closer. They agreed. When I arrived they said no one was scheduled and in addition did not have the 16 foot I requested but they had "a brand new 26 foot and I could be the first customer to ever drive it." I live in a small community so this would not work. In addition I'm moving from Virginia to Florida and to find out A DAY prior to the rental is wild. I ended up having to drive more than an hour away to get another truck. I called their boss Mark Sokol At least 10 times and left 3 voicemails and still haven't heard back. (571) 252-6903. I'm sure there will be more pissed off customers so here's his phone number please feel free to call him if you have any issue. This place is a f****** joke and I definitely will never use budget trucks ever again. I'll pay more and stick to uhaul.

I booked a truck on 7/9/20 to pick up on 8/7/20. These idiots waited until 8:30am on 8/7/20 to call me and tell me they gave my truck to a family friend. This is college move-in weekend and there are absolutely no trucks in my area with any company this weekend. Those idiots tried to say that it was corporate's responsibility to call me several days ago to tell me this and when I called corporate they said it was a privately owned franchise And they are responsible for their inventory as well as contacting customers when they screw them over like they did me. I highly recommend you never rent from this particular budget as well as rent from budget at all because those jack wagons have failed all day long to call me back yet they have claimed that their supervisors and the Inventory manager and the territory manager all have a two hour window to call me back...That was eight hours ago still no call and I have called them several times and keep getting the same runaround. We have a specific move-in window for the apartment and now we have no truck I'll because of budget and because they wanted to do a favor for a friend and screw a paying customer who had a confirmed reservation for a solid month.

Issue #1, they charge $40 for the physical damage waiver. While not required, it's recommended because most people's personal auto insurance don't cover rental of commercial vehicles. I found out later that UHaul only charges $10 for similar insurance. Issue #2, if you want to cancel your reservation, there's a $50 fee. Issue #3, they tried to overcharge me claiming that I drove the truck 10 miles more than I actually did because that's what the computer on their truck read. I asked them what the odometer reading was before I took possession of the truck and compared it to the number recorded on the checkout sheet (which I had visually confirmed was correct when I took possession) and sure enough it was off by the 10 miles. Caught in the lie, they had no choice but to issue me a refund for the difference. Also, I requested a copy of the bill so I can see an itemized breakdown of the costs and they (the corporate office) promised to send it via email but they never followed through. I made the request twice over the phone and once by email and have yet to receive it. While the people at this local office were pleasant to deal with, my overall experience left a lot to be desired. Not sure if the people here are the same people from the Willard Rd location (see the reviews for the Willard Rd location) but probably so.

Took my reservation over phone then store finds out its only for a day, then they call and cancel to save trucks for longer reservations...awful company and employees!

The. Worst. Made a reservation on budgettruck.com. When we got to the office there's a handwritten sign that says to call for help. We called and no answer. When we finally got someone she very rudely said that budget screwed up and they don't have any trucks so we'd have to go somewhere else. When I asked why budget would allow us to make an appointment she said "Well I'm not going to argue with you so call budget." The. Worst. Rent from UHaul instead.
