This is from a former student. I have been going here for about 1/2 years and here is my take. This school SUCKS for the students. But is helpful for parents that are busy. First of all in live classes they never get to the point of the lesson until the end of class which leaves the students to self teach. There is even classes that don't even have a teacher. Again most of the time your child will be self teaching most of the time. The teachers barely do their job right they barley grade work this school have caused me severe depression and anxiety I would NOT recommend this school to ANYONE!!

So, like most people, I didn't want to send my daughter to public school because of COVID-19. This was the seconds school that I enrolled my child into. I was told that there was a lot of face time between my child and her teacher(s). Turns out, she's in the computer for 1 maybe 2 hours a day. Going through only 2 subjects. I was overwhelmed! My child wasn't learning anything. She was way behind and I decide rather than to wait any longer that it was time to enroll into in person classes. She's doing much better now; however, I sent in a refund request to them 12/2021 and just heard back from them 3/2022 and that was after I had to call them again. They say she was there more than 30 days so I can't get my money back, but their description of their services never included that I had to do more teaching than the actual teachers. I would never recommend this school service to anyone!

Horrible experience!!!!!! They do not answer or help in any way! My daughter is stuck in her previous grade because it will no longer let us log in, ever since I said they were not going back, no answers and no help. Terrible!!!!!!!

Worst online program EVER. wish me and my mom would've done our research before trying to enroll in a school we saw in a tv add. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT enroll your poor kids in this school. After they register your phone number and you try calling about issues the will ignore your calls. school.

Not a happy parent whatsoever. K12 made a mistake and my re-registration was overlooked and even though it was their fault, they are not willing to allow my children to attend this year. So now I have to figure out where my children will attend by no fault of my own. How is that fair? My daughter has attended for 3 years straight. They have everything that they need for enrollment and yet I'm stuck. Not to mention that I cannot even get in touch with them to get all of my children's information for transfer to wherever they are going. This is just a mess! Being put on a waitlist when you all failed to do your jobs and there is evidence of that. I do not recommend them because if something is done on their end and they are at fault you are still just left hanging. Who does that??!!

Easy enrollment, awesome teachers and staff. My kids have grown so much in one school year with k12. With the extra office hours and the ability to rewatch live classes.

We are very excited to explore the great learning opportunities at K12. Seems very encouraging and distance is not a barrier if your kid has got the qualifications after review. GREAT SUPPORT

I actually am a licensed (as in credentialed) teacher who has worked for this company and I hold 2 advanced degrees. I read a few of the posted reviews some of which are clearly planted or simply based on ignorance. Example - curricula is definitely not at all high quality. In fact, much of it uses outdated and incorrect information. The instructional 'design' consistently fails to adhere to best practices, examples used as models for students in doing homework are embarrassingly bad. The majority of actual instructors are not employed by K12. They are 'employed' through a temp agency where they are paid minimum wage and declared as 'administrative' workers. The current CEO has no actual experience teaching let alone managing an actual education organization and this 'money first, product later' attitude is found all through the company (example, supervisors of teachers do not necessarily have any experience in teaching the subject matter areas of the teachers they supervise and their management skills are not necessarily any better). At $15/hour or so with curricula that is developed by amateurs, many of whom lack even coherent English communication skills (suggesting some of the material may be getting outsourced to other countries), you would be better off hiring a private instructor who is actually credentialed in your state and let her or him create or utilize curriculum of their choice. The only reason this company continues to exist is for lack of sufficient competition. Watch out here for planted reviews as I have spotted plenty.

The K12 platform has been a colossal failure in the Miami-Dade school district, which is K12’s largest customer. Seems likely that the district CIO and / or others involved in the decision to select K12 will be fired.

Everything sounds/seems impressive at first and we got through the enrollment process fairly easily for my 1 son (who tends to do well academically). They refused to take my other son who has an IEP and has not performed as well as his brother on state tests. (First red flag). After the first 3 days of "school" we pulled my son out. There is zero structure to the "classes". Work is basically posted on their site and the student is expected to learn independently and then do tests. No instruction is provided by teachers. My son never actually met/saw/interacted with any of his "teachers". He was told that for some classes he would not have any teacher involvement until after 3 weeks of school and even then the teachers could/would vary from week to week. No thank you! This type of environment may work for others but it definitely did not work for us.

I pre registered my daughter last year and they never did it. So here it is beginning of the school year and I have no classes or books. I have been placed on hold a total of 9 hours and passed from person to person with no answers. I have 4 open cases against wava. I have no answers to when she will get books or classes and she's in 6 th grade. If she was a student last year and I did the preregistration how did this happen? Why is it so hard to get her books or online access? Why can't anybody from the school contact us? How many other students are they letting slip thru the cracks of their school system?

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have spoken with multiple representatives in the last week attempting to enroll my student (which we actually started 3 weeks ago) and have been given conflicting information. A customer service agent hung up on me tonight when I told them I was frustrated that the answers were inconsistent. I would not recommend this program for any family. You and your kids deserve a company that has open and clear communication.

Awful communication! I wish I could give it a lower rating. I applied for my kids in June, downloaded the app and they said I've done everything I needed to and I just had to wait to be contacted. I heard nothing. Called and wait for an hour and a half got half answers about my next steps. Did the next steps then got nothing. Called again was told to wait to be contacted AGAIN. My next contact was a no reply text saying my registration was canceled. Then I got an email saying they attempted to reach me multiple times...???? My number was the same one they texted and the same email that they emailed me from to say it was canceled. Thank god I have other options because these people are a joke.
