The state Emissions and Inspector Edwin is so Rude for me. Did not even like to hear from customer. I replaced my break lights and came back with in 10 min. May be he was expecting me to replace there with high price charged and so did not like it, He told me to go through the whole line again just to check the break lights. Everything else was done already and I had paid for it. I don’t think it is practical to stay on line another one hour or more just to see break lights . Everything was done 10 min before. Unfortunately I served 3 vehicle at this location and this was the third one.
. Never heard thank you. Please come back again or so . It had very bad experience.
I went inside store and explained the situation. They told me he is like that. What a world ! I was just expecting them not to be hard on something that is not necessary. And at least speak respectfully.
I waited on the line and he printed out the light replaced paper with passed the inspection but did not talk to me just left the vehicle and went to get another vehicle. I had to find the key ?

I come to this location for quick service and no lines for inspections. This time, I almost entered the wrong way, so be sure to follow the signs for inspections (around the back)! Once the inspector takes the car in, he directs you to walk around to the front, which is a little inconvenient. There is seating outside the convenience store as well as inside. The whole process was so fast, i barely even remembered to take pictures.
The customer service isn't necessarily the best. I am giving four stars instead of five for this reason.

Elden Street Shell Gas Station
If you use a card here, be careful!!! I wanted $35 worth of gas. I was charged $350! When I found the error, I called. By the end of the day, the guy assured me he would have the money back on my card. Didn’t happen.. the following day, he calls to tell me he was unable to return the money on my card because he doesn’t know how to do it but would instead offer me $315 in cash. When I declined, he got agitated, told me I should carry cash, and went on a little tirade about how he hates technology. It took a week and a half to return the money to my card. Not cool at all!!!!!
That guy has to learn how to leave a message, by the way.. he called me 9 times in a row and just continued to call. I’m grateful that he gave my problem some urgency, but leave a message!
I don’t understand how issues like this even happen..I know they happen, but how? I guess they accidentally added a 0 to 35 when ringing me up? And let’s be realistic here, there is NO REASON why it should take a week and half to fix the problem

SCAM !!! DO NOT COME HERE FOR INSPECTION ! Period. They will fail your car for non-existent problem without asking you if you wanna fix it or not. Cuz they want to make $20 more by failing you first and then do the inspection again. We ended up calling state trooper for a proper check, and guess what. It passed !

This place is a Rip Off
had inspection done and they lied about my car having issues. I took it to the dealer and all it needed was a light bulb cost me 25$ and they said it was 800$ plus dollars.

Super expensive place, went for car oil change & head light bulb replacement . They put cheaper bulbs that can be bought around $5-$10 from Amazon but they charge $20/ bulb and for simple insert into socket charge $20 on eachNever go - these guys will rip you off.

I took my car here to get the VA state inspection which they failed due to my brakes. They told me it would cost $550 for 1 brake pad, step, and drum. I told they that it was too much and i would take it to my shop to get it fixed. Which they didn't take to nicely too. I paid then $20 for the inspection and after driving 3 miles from the shop my car doesn't move anymore and stopped on the road. Came at night and the employee there said the gas pump I used would not work, but when moving to another pump the same issue occured. When trying to pay inside, the employee was rude, asking why I came inside and when I was explaining the issue he assumed my card was the issue and did not allow me to pay for gas or any items. I would say this is an unreliable Shell and the way we were addressed here seemed rude, assumptive, and dare I say slightly discriminitory.
