The gym for every day including all holidays. So glad to be able to train here from time to time. Amazed at the amount of equipment in the space available and it’s got all the basic stuff like free weights, smith machine, kettle bells, various cardio machines and places to strength.

I had stopped going to gyms in the area for a little over year since many of them started letting men come into the women's locker rooms, where women and girls were undressing, because they claimed to be women. Lost all my gains and got fat. Well, I came upon Snap Fitness. They don't have showers or locker rooms here but I wouldn't change it for the world. This means I no longer have to worry about being seen undressed by creepy, greasy men in the locker room. I was like a kid in the candy store the first day I came in to work out. I feel safe again. Love the equipment here. People are cool. And the staff are welcoming.

Nice and clean, no real issues, there are options and plenty of open machines and weights but lack of showers is a negative for me. Otherwise no complaints.

I have to use a fake phone number and email just to find out how much the monthly cost is.. 50 bucks everyone. If you have to hide it behind an email/contact list you've already lost customers.

I came home from school for a month this winter. Lifting weights and fitness is one of the things that I look forward to during the week so I knew I had to find a gym for a month coming home. Most places in Northern Virginia want you to sign up and lock into long contracts. Snap Fitness was month to month and allowed me to workout while I was home without a long contract. The staff including Nelson, Joe and the owner Sean were all super helpful and supportive. I was able to walk in, sign up, and start lifting the very first day. They also gave me all the information before I got into town. The equipment is all well taken care of and patrons put away their weights and respect others. Most of the time I was working out there were just a few others in there with me. Snap Fitness had all the equipment I needed to complete my workouts. There are also multiple sanitation areas and everyone practiced proper hygiene there.I definitely recommend snap fitness if you are looking for a gym in your area.

The facility and staff are pretty good, but the customer interactions needs improvement, especially during a pandemic. The equipment inside the gym has a lot of machines and some free weights, including 2 power racks. This usually is good enough given that it's a relatively small gym, but it would be much better if a third power rack or a deadlifting platform was added (I think this could be done with some slight rearranging). Of course, this isn't a major issue, but there have been quite a few times where I've come to work out but none of the power racks were available. There have been a few times where I waited up to 30 minutes for them to open up, so it would be helpful if a third station was opened up. Other than the power racks, the other machines are all usually available. The staff are pretty nice; the personal trainers were friendly and gave me some good tips. I had some sessions with Jon, and he helped me work on my form for deadlifting and squatting. However, I would note that one of the staff members (I don't know his name) seems to not really care about safety during a pandemic, even though the gym claims that their "priority is safety for all our members and staff." I usually stay away from him, but I often see him walking around without a mask on (even though the gym says "masks are required for staff") and he seems pretty nonchalant about getting within 6 feet of people and even making physical contact with them. This staff member's carefree attitude towards the pandemic made me feel a bit wary of the gym and whether or not they actually took actions to prevent the spread of COVID (for example, they said they implemented hourly cleaning of all equipment, but I have yet to see any staff member ever wiping down equipment). The only area that is a bit lacking in my opinion is customer interactions. Previously, this didn't really matter to me because I never had to actually call the gym, but during the COVID pandemic, I prefer to call the gym and check how many people are inside so that I can avoid going when it's crowded (my personal threshold is 2-3 other people since the gym is pretty small). However, about 50% of the times that I call, no one picks up, and I end up having to go in-person and check myself, and a good percentage of the times that I go in-person, there are too many people inside already and I end up just leaving. Every time this happens, it's essentially a waste of my time and my gas money. Though I admit that it could be my fault for not wanting to work out when there's too many people inside, I'll still prefer to not take the risk of being infected. I often try to go around 12PM - 4PM, and that's when I call the gym. The sign on the door says that someone should be in the gym's office from 9AM - 7PM or something like that, and I just noticed that the gym's website says that no one will be inside between 1PM and 3PM. In my opinion, (a) this change in office hours should be noted on the gym's actual sign, and (b) the times that no one is inside should be more consistent with 1PM to 3PM. I've called as early as 12:30 and as late as 3:30 and not gotten a response, so it would be nice if they could stay in-line with the 1-3 PM.I really like this gym because it's not too far from where I live and the facilities and staff are pretty good, but these past few months have been a bit frustrating for me because of how the gym chooses to handle the pandemic. My main issues right now are with not being able to contact the gym consistently and some of the staff not seeming to care about the pandemic, though I do point out that these are pandemic-specific problems, so my current review and rating is based my experiences during this time. My rating would be higher if there wasn't a pandemic happening.

The facility is pretty good and the staff are pretty nice.*** Updated review ***I checked my card statement and Sean is correct that he did not charge me for the additional person. I'd still like to see some improvement in time to getting back to customers about billing-related issues, clarity for membership rates, and COVID best-practices---for example, your employees should probably wear masks; if I remember correctly, there's a sign on the wall that says they should. I've seen an employee, an elder gentleman, not wearing a mask and making physical contact with clients (in a friendly manner which would have been OK prior to the pandemic). That being said, I think this gym still deserves a 5-star rating compared with other gyms of similar price and location. *** Old review below***The reason for the two-star review here, however, is how the staff have been treating me when I went to the gym during quarantine. I went to this gym for a while and wanted to rejoin after quarantine. My first day back, an employee, an elder gentleman who was not wearing a mask, touched me as I walked into the office. Seemed innocuous enough, but didn't seem like a best practice. The month of June was supposed to be free, and I wasn't sure whether I wanted to join yet. But Sean, the owner, said that I should get started on the plan anyways. I trusted him and so I said OK, even though I was hesitant about it, and he billed me for one month starting that day, even though that day was supposed to be free and I just wanted a trial to see how the gym was.I ended up not wanting to return, and so far, it seems impossible for me to get refunded my membership. I've called 3 times already, and Sean never seems to be there. No one else knows how to handle the billing. I sent an email but never got a response. As someone who was hesitant to join and got pushed into joining, it seems pretty unfair that I got billed for a month when I didn't go---or want to go---a single time. I've wasted a lot of my valuable time calling, and it seems like I was pushed into doing something I didn't want to, with no way to get refunded. I even feel a bit scammed. So readers---use the free trial, and do not let Sean bill you on the first day unless you are absolutely sure that you do not want to cancel. Once you are billed, it will be a huge hassle to try to get your membership refunded. You might even have to end up writing a review, like me, just to get his attention. This is my first time writing a negative review, and I'm hoping this review will get Sean's attention so he can finally get the refund back to me. At that point, I'd be willing to revise my review, as the other aspects of this gym are fine.-----Response to the Sean's reply:Hello Sean, thanks for getting back to me. It would have been helpful to get back to me earlier (as I have waited almost three weeks now) but I hope you're well. If you had time to cancel my membership, could you have also refunded me while you were at it?When you first brought up re-starting the membership, I mentioned that the month of June was supposed to be free. But you said June was ending in two days anyways, so you told me to just start that same day. I trusted you and I think you're a nice guy, so I said OK, assuming that I'd be able to cancel later. I'm glad you don't believe in that type of sales, but I think you can understand that I might be frustrated when my request for the refund did not get responded to for almost three weeks, and no one who answered the phone knew how billing works. I started to think that you were avoiding my calls because you didn't want to give me a refund. If you had said we would both start the membership and it would be $70 dollars total, then why were we only charged $35? My brother will drop by tomorrow to talk with you (as I am busy with work) and once it is confirmed that we were only charged $35, I will happily update the review.

I no longer have a membership, but the staff here was always amazing: very, very kind group of people. Great equipment, too, of course.
