The Closet is a well-loved local thrift shop that offers a variety of reasonably priced used items, including clothing, housewares, toys, books, CDs, and collectables. Customers appreciate the organized layout and the friendly staff, although experiences can vary, with some noting that staff attitudes can be inconsistent. The store has a policy that allows for exchanges within four days with a receipt, but many shoppers wish for a more flexible return option, as they only receive store credit. Visitors often highlight the impressive selection of jewelry, clothes, and trinkets, which are offered at some of the lowest prices in the area. The environment is lively, occasionally bustling with families, which some find chaotic. Despite this, many return for the store's unique vintage items and community-focused mission, as profits are donated to local non-profits and college scholarships. Overall, The Closet is recommended for those looking for great deals and a chance to support the community while shopping.
I got turned away from making a donation at 12:15, cut off is at 12 PM sharp. This was extremely frustrating in the moment, but I guess just know when they say 12 they mean 12!
