Same bait and switch tactic described by another reviewer. Made a reservation online, expected certain prices that I booked, then when I went to pick up at counter, they said those prices were outdated (by two hours apparently). Tried to charge me counter retail prices. Instead of $14 for the utility hand truck, $21 at retail. instead of $30 for insurance, $45 for retail. Instead of 19.95 per day, something like $30 a day. And there was nothing they could do to honor my online reservation (but tried). This is fraud. They were nice enough to cancel my entire reservation for me instead of making me run around (a star for that). They were also very civil, it was frustrating but this seemed like corporate corruption rather than personnel issue. I wouldn’t go to UHaul overall for these practices, it’s not specific to this store.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS FACILITY. We picked up a uhaul for 4 hours to move an item. U-Haul tried to charge the card $20,000. When we returned the truck, we were unable to find the reservation in the app and after calling customer service the representative told us we had been mistakenly charged $6500. A nightmare and a headache not worth your time. The employees here are scammers.

Order 82487259. Made a reservation for hitch installation weeks in advance. We arrived early. Hitch specialist left before. They didn’t even have the part. This is really disappointing.

You’d think uhaul is going out of business the way they keep snatching money and running my
card without any consent MONTHS after for a rental I used and PAID for. Don’t ever come to this location they broke and trying to take money for no reason. I called UHAUL HQ and they can’t seem to figure out why either

They almost let me leave with heavy duty boxes when I didn't need them. They only brought up other options when i mentioned how expensive the boxes were. The place was organized and clean though and the staff was friendly.

I recently had an exceptional experience with U-Haul in Herndon, VA, and I couldn't be happier with their service! From start to finish, everything was smooth and hassle-free.
Firstly, the reservation process was straightforward and convenient. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me choose the right size truck for my needs. They even provided valuable tips for packing and securing my belongings.
On the day of pickup, the truck was clean, well-maintained, and ready to go. The check-in process was efficient, and I appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring everything was in working order before I hit the road.
Throughout my rental period, I encountered no issues with the vehicle. It performed flawlessly, which gave me peace of mind during my move. Returning the truck was just as easy, with courteous staff quickly processing the paperwork and finalizing the transaction.
Overall, U-Haul in Herndon exceeded my expectations with their professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of moving or storage solutions. Thank you, U-Haul, for making my move a stress-free experience!

Worst Uhaul facility that I’ve ever encountered. Complete lack of concern for customers, bait and switch with confirmed reservations that they chose not to honor. Utter disregard for the customer. Zero empathy or compassion. A total “don’t care. Deal with it because we’re Goliath and you have no other options” attitude. I’ve had great experiences with Uhaul for decades but I will never deal with this location again and I recommend no one else does either.

I have been renting enclosed trailer from this location. 2-3 times a month. All the employees are very helpful except the Manager. Whenever he is there always taking very long time to rent, or finish the process. Dont make the peoples job difficult. This location deserves better management. If you need to rent something emergency, or not have time to waste, STAY AWAY.

This MANAGER is an absolute nightmare. They were as helpful as a broken compass, and their attitude reeked of arrogance. It's like they were trained in the art of unhelpfulness and rudeness. Avoid this place like the plague if you prefer dealing with decent human beings.

It’s started with my truck not being ready for mobile pickup. Then, the person that assisted me gave me a truck that was blocked in by other trucks and was all the way on the other side. Spent too much time walking to get it, twice because of this. She never apologized for her error. She did not bother for thanking me for renting with you or anything that is customary courtesy. Once I had the other truck I didn’t get the text message for damages, I had the old one. I had to go back in to the office to have them resend. No apologies. And lastly, I had ordered 3 dozen pads and a dolly. The woman that assisted me told me to drive around and pick it up. I did this and the items were on the floor… in the rain. Common sense or even basic customer service would have been to wait until i pulled up and come out with the items. I had two of the bags that were wet. The pads got wet. I spent more time dealing with your staff than I wanted to. Just not happy with the service I received. Your staff at this location clearly doesn’t care… they did not prepare my truck for mobile pickup, they did a terrible job at customer service.

Friendly staff but they charged me a $20 after hours service fee even though I returned the equipment at 6pm. They ended up refunding it after I posted this review.Edit: the $20 charge was later reversed.

The truck I had is very bad shape.Usually, they have better than this, but I got the worst this time.No care for the truck at all major and minor maintenance needs to be done for the truck
