Had the best experience ever at the USPS Herndon Post Office yesterday afternoon. I had to rush a shipment of close to fifty boxes of school related books for children on the island of Puerto Rico. During the day I was trying to figure out the best and most affordable way to get the boxes delivered and Patel helped me sort out the boxes, I needed, labels etc. During the afternoon I boxed all of the items with the help of my wife, son and daughter. By 5pm on this Friday I went back to the Post Office and Patel lent me four carts to unload our boxes. Meanwhile, the other employee there Zafirah started preparing the shipment orders and identified a mistake in the zip code which she kindly went about fixing one box at a time by using white out and correcting the mistake to ensure the shipment got there on time. She also had Patel set aside a “trolley” to ensure all boxes were loaded together so they could get there together instead of separately. It took about an hour to do it all but both Zafirah and Patel were mega kind and willing ti ensure the process went through smoothly. I can I thank them enough for their kindness and professionalism. This is what public service is all about !!!

It was my first time at this office. Jasmin was very kind and helpful — she clearly explained how to send letters and how to ship heavy packages. I was very pleased with the service. Highly recommend coming when Jasmin is on shift — everything goes smoothly and easily with her.

I am tired of seeing this woman outside the front door sitting in her chair and asking for money every time you enter. This has been going on for months. How is this allowed on government property?

Please avoid going here, they don't care about you, and people are cheap, I went there wanting to ship a package, they had no print service, the person working there made me stand in line to find out they can't print, said you are not the first person to ask that, I went back home got a print out and stood line again, to find out they don't tape, and made me buy a tape, after which I taped my package and gave it to them to see them throwing it away!
I just realized that, they don't care about anything or any customer experience!
Please avoid USPS it unless you have to!

Love this office because it has several self serve postal machines. Staff is lovely and helpful. Also love the parcel lock box system so that you can pick up after hours.

To any bride or groom trying to mail invitation, Do not go to this USPS if you want to mail your wedding invites. They will tell you to put extra stamps for non-machines/hand canceling service but still throw it under the machine so your friends and family ended up with broken/damaged/torn papers.
The only nice person is the Asian lady (didn’t get her name). She is nice and knowledgeable. And was able to help me hand canceling second batches of my invites right away.

Their regular service is good if you want to send mail .The reason I give two star is because the many times I schedule for my passport. They are never on schedule. The staff delays everything because they are talking in the back so we have to constantly knock the door . I understand some delaying happened but what is the point of scheduling when u can’t be seen .

Great and friendly service. For passport apps, the Merrifield post office off Lee Hwy is better.

horrible experience. Made a passport appointment arrived early with everything at 1:15. Was not seen until 1:34 and the lady had the audacity to say I was late. Customer service was trash. There’s no clear signs or communication of where to go or wait for your passport appointment. They brush you off and they all seem to hate their job. Recommend going else where. Waste of time and I hate leaving bad reviews but time is money and they wasted my time.

Stopped in on a Thursday around 11 am. I had my package already packed in a flat-rate box. There was no line when I walked in and the woman who helped me (clerk 18) was very helpful! I was in and out within minutes and paid exactly what I expected to thanks to the cost calculator online. One of the easiest USPS experiences I've had to date.
