Good place. Nice people. Excellent meat prices, excellent quality. We look for weekly meat specials. Sometimes very good deals on sodas.

This is a very sad store. I was in the store for five minutes waiting for someone to help me with Western Union The cashier said he would find somebody but he look like he completely forgot. This store is one of the worst in this area. I can see if it was busy that I would understand but there was hardly anyone in there.

I used to live right next to this store, so it was my main grocery store. I've since moved to Centreville, and while I do most of my shopping now at the nearby Wegmans, I still drive a few times a month to Herndon to shop here. It's a smallish store, meaning it doesn't always offer the selection of some others in the area, but it also means it's not overwhelming. More importantly, to me, it means it's the kind of place where they recognize me, even after coming less frequently, and greet me and chat with me. It's very welcoming and friendly and in a huge chain, that's rare.

I read some of the feedback with a raised eyebrow!!???!! I've been using this store for almost 18 years and have never had an issue with prices, employees, or rewards cards!! Some people can never be pleased and blast them after what one bad experience?? I will continue to frequent the store and it's pleasant employees.

Racist store. Refused alcohol purchase despite having multiple forms of ID. Didn't check other customers id but gave me the 3rd degree when checking mine

They didn't find my membership number by my phone number. The cashier didn't bother to offer me to open an account or get me the discount by their own store. She handed me my receipt and said your phone number didn't work!! Most likely I don't go back

This is an excellent grocery store! It is impressively clean and very easy to find what I need. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The prices are so much better than the other big name stores. I drive almost a half an hour to shop here. It's worth it! Keep up the great work.

This has been and is my primary grocery store, although I do shop a couple other stores due to got to have items I can only find at them. Food Lion has outstanding customer service, very good selection of product selection and reasonable pricing. I believe their pricing is more than competitive! What sets this store apart from others is the high level of customer service. It's like shopping in a small town. Just today one of the managers did something for me that was going the extra mile to assist. It was a COVID-19 related issue.

I'm not a huge fan of Food Lion anymore. They used to be substantially cheaper than Giant, Safeway, and Shoppers. That's not necessarily the case anymore and this location feels dated. Ever since Aldi and other discount chains have arrived, Food Lion has taken a step back. The ability to walk out of here with five bags, for only $25 is over. It's not what it used to be. They occasionally have a deal, but more often than not they don't, and I wish you luck finding an employee not at a register. This isn't too busy, which could be an advantage in some regards. As for selection only "so so." I'm not enamored by their bakery or meat department. Others literally spank them here. It's a shame but I no longer shop here. Why bother going to an old store with no amenities/pricing deals? I don't have psychic powers, but it wouldn't surprise me if they close this location.

I have been living for about a year in this area and tried out different grocery stores and come to the conclusion that Food Lion is the best. Nice and clean store with friendly staff. Everything is well organized and easy to find. They have all the essentials including some bio products. Most of the produce looks pretty good (which seems to be a big problem in all other grocery stores I have been too where too many things get over watered and start to mold, are bruised etc.). Meat Department looks great and pricing is pretty good too. So overall very well kept store. The only thing I'm missing would be boar's head meat in the deli. This would be icing on the cake. But still a 5 star review for me.
