Smith Mountain Lake Beach

Hours: Smith Mountain Lake Beach is a very expansive and beautiful natural beach with beautiful white sand. The view is second to none and the lake is beautiful. It is an awesome and affordable place for a nice weekend or a vacation, offering a beautiful swimming area that is shallow enough for young kids. The large sized swimming area features three lifeguard towers. The beach has plenty of amenities, including very large restroom facilities, a playground, a picnic area with picnic tables and charcoal grills, and boat rentals. There is also a small restaurant with outdoor seating, though service may be limited. Visitors should bring their own food and charcoal. It is an excellent place for kids to have fun in the sun. Access requires a separate fee per person, which is not included with the parking fee.
