Been here several times, it's a great place, even if it's your first time. It's only clothing optional outside the buildings and amenities. We've seen nothing but friendly staff and guests.

Other than the bothersome radio commercials at the pool it’s a very nice resort , they should use serius radio. Also, there is a rule about having a conversation on your phone poolside which I agree with 100 percent when it’s a full house. I got up from my chair and walked into a quiet corner to take a call from my dr office and was confronted by someone about it. There were a total of about half a dozen people there (it’s a large pool area) and I still got up to speak away from the pool. There is no way my quick and quiet conversation was more annoying than the radio commercials or the lawn maitenance that was going on poolside . Other than that is a great resort .

Will NEVER go back! Let's start with the good stuff: The facilities are very nice. The pool, hot tub, recreation, restaurant building was very nice. The waitress at the restaurant was very friendly and the service was excellent. The maintenance staff were great. We had a bad showerhead in our rental and it was fixed with 30 minutes of me reporting it. I enjoyed that the resort was family friendly and that there were several minors on the grounds during our visit. Now to why I will never go back: I have been a social nudist for over 23 years. I have been to several nudist resorts and met hundreds of nudists over that time. Most nudist are friendly people who make a point of introducing themselves and if they are members of the club you are visiting they try to make sure you are enjoying yourself. That is not the case here. We were at the resort for 4 days and a total of 5 people/couples said anything to us. We attended their Easter dance and it was attended by about 40 couples. We arrived just after 9PM when the event started. It was a somewhat chilly evening so we arrived dressed and found a place to sit. My wife started getting undress while I warmed up a little bit before disrobing. After about 5 minutes a gentleman walked up to us and without introducing himself asked it we were new. We said we were and he in a very rude tone announced that the club was not clothing optional and I need to get naked. I said that I was just warming up a little and his comment was "I keep it pleasantly warm in here so you should be fine by now". The DJ for the events wife (who was very pleasant along with her husband) asked if everything was OK. We explained the situation and the she said "Oh, the owner is usually very friendly, maybe he's having a bad day". We were rightfully a little miffed over the confrontation but decided to try and make the best of the evening. During the 3 hours we were at the event only 2 couple came up and introduced themselves. Most avoided us like the plague. The DJ tried his best to do a good job but apparently the owner was in charge of the playlist. He kept a microphone with him throughout the event and "tried" to sing along with his requests. It was extremely bizarre. The DJ would go from a good dance song to something from the 50's or 60's that he could sing along with. So if you are looking for a friendly, social nudist resort this is NOT the place.

I attended an open house they had recently, my first time ever in that environment, and I was blown away! I enjoy being naked whenever I can, but I never have been in front of others. As soon as you pass through the big mechanical gate, everyone is naked! They might have a towel over their shoulders, or a sarong, but everything else is hanging out. No big deal! All different shapes and sizes, young and old. It's a family resort, and there were families at the pool (the only place you're required to be nude) with kids and all playing together. It really is incredible to experience. Nothing creepy, it's all normal. They have the outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and a hot tub. It's kind of like a camp ground and people are running around on golf carts-naked of course. There were people playing Pickleball, with just shoes on. Everything like normal, just no clothes. I'm playing volleyball in the indoor pool, we're all naked, and it's no big deal. You hardly notice, really. You can probably tell, as I said, I was blown away. My only complaint is that, because I'm married, I can't go back without my wife whether she's okay with it or not.

We have been to nudist resorts from Florida to New York also in California and Arizona and the Caribbean. This WONDERFUL resort is the BEST OF THE BEST. The people are amazing friendly and so helpful, The grounds are immaculate the cleanest nudist resort we have ever stayed at. The pools both indoor and outdoor refreshing and spotless. The hot tub very clean and just the right temp. The sauna clean and ready to use. The hotel rooms were squeaky clean and very well equipped. We already made reservations for their Halloween party and are on the waitlist for the Beach bash in August. They are a five and a half hour drive and well worth the drive.

Call on the morning of your visit if you are a non-member day visitor. Otherwise, do not waste your drive. They (within their rights) decide on a day-to-day basis whether they will accept day visitors to enter the campground. Don't show up after driving 2 hours just to get turned away. That said, I have been there a few times pre-Covid, and they are very friendly, and welcoming. Lovely grounds, lots of activities, well-maintained, and two perfect pools.

Wanna let your hair down and relax, this is just the place to do that. What a great place for a long weekend of “glamping”. Who doesn’t enjoy a a great outdoor shower, here you can do that and many more activities that only require a towel, to sit on that is. We met (socially distanced due to the pandemic) people from all walks of life, from states as far as Connecticut. We all shared a common problem - no where to carry your smartphone, oh the tragedy! Instead we socialized in the pool, around the pool, over drinks, between meals. Thoroughly enjoyed doffing our duds, nourishing our bodies with vitamin D while floating in the saltwater pools. If you’re openminded and nonjudgmental, and willing to look beyond scars, wrinkles, and the facts of life this resort is a place to enjoy. The meals we had in the on-site restaurant and poolside snack bar were rather good. White Tail Resort serves up a truly relaxing getaway that only requires you pack a towel and a smile.

If you want to feel good about your outsides, go to White Tail Nudist Resort! This family nudist resort has low rates, a full & very active event calendar and a whole lot of really happy friendly people. They have something for everyone with indoor and outdoor salt water pools, sauna, hot tub, workout room/gym, restaurant with patio seating, game room with billiards & old school arcade game, a tv room, library, laundry facilities throughout the grounds, super large banquet hall, playground, volleyball courts, tennis, giant human sized chess and checkers, mini golf and the newest addition - a pétanque course. I can't speak highly enough about the walking trails, dances, camp sites & cabins, bathhouses and outdoor showers... all of it is more than anyone could ask for. This is not a place for swingers or public displays of anything sexual. This is a place that has left me feeling safer than I've ever felt. There's a no camera policy, otherwise I'd share photos of the place. All I can say is go and see for yourself. Go and experience the freedom of being able to be yourself in your skin. Have scars? Everyone else does too. Piercings? There's a lot of those on both men and women. Belly rolls and back fat? You'll be in great company! Grab your favorite glassless beverage, your sunscreen, your sitting towel (aka butt towel- which must go with you everywhere) and your car keys so that you can experience the inner peace you've always been looking for.

Well, my birthday is this month, and Billy and I decided we would like try a Very "New Experience" for us both as a fun celebration !...."Camping in the Nude". WTR had some amenities on their resort / campground site that looked to fit us well. Nice Shaded RV Campsites, (it was August, and we travel with our Rescue Siberian Husky, and it is Very Important she enjoys the trip too !). The Friendly office Staff picked a Great Shady Spot for us to put our Camper. Immediately, we were able to see how Clean and Well Groomed the property is kept. The Picnic Tables on the campsites were "new", the Grass is Nicely Cut (and swept up) on ALL the areas, the "Salt Water Treated Pool" is Crystal Clear, and is 25 Meters Long too ! (Billy Loves Lap Swimming, and the pool even has a Lane available to do that). The Walking Trails are VERY Shaded, and were Perfect for dog walking. Bath Houses, rest rooms by the pool, public shower areas were "Spotless". We also noticed the everyone was very respectful of the property too. We do not smoke, but we also noticed that there was Not a "single" cigarette butt on the ground "anywhere" to be found. Almost right away, we had folks "sincerely" saying hello as we walked our dog by or entered the pool area. This included residents, and other camper folks too actually. I should mention that this was still during "COVID" issues, and the resort was making sure to keep the Guests as safe as they possible and follow ALL the rulings that Virginia has in place at this time. The Office, and any indoor areas had mask rulings in place, and every member or guest was staying observant of this too. (and staying 6 feet + apart and such, when in all of the areas). We saw staff wiping down "common areas" like the pool chaises and entry gates, rest room area access, and alike. This was VERY important to us. This was our First Travel during 2020 Season, and we really were happy to see everyone paying attention to this unfortunate national issue. OK, now to talk about how it felt to be out in our "birthday suits", for the first time in front of folks!....It was a "few moments of nervousness" but then it became such a GREAT Feeling. Billy and I found it to be a wonderful bonding experience for us too ! He and I have done a LOT of different and New / Life experiences together in our 20 years of marriage. Snow Boarding from a Helicopter, Scuba Diving, Tuna Fishing 100 miles out to see, but, we had to admit that this really made us feel so good about each other in a wonderful way. It was Truly Relaxing, and even fun. We are hoping this feeling stays fresh, and does not got away. From what we have discussed, with a few others, its "addicting" and continues with you, if you want it to ! Well, I will finish this long review, with two fun facts for you. In the first hour, we had called the office and extended our stay from 4 nights to 7 ! Yes, We have also decided to become members, which pays for itself after just after a couple of 1 week visits too. I will tell you one thing though, The ONLY Strange feeling we had, about the entire week, was putting our clothes back on to leave ! Thank you Bob and the Staff of WTR......and we will see you next week !.....Billy and Linda.

Stayed over a three-day weekend. First time experience. Called ahead. Office staff was very helpful. Arrival was simple & efficient. After brief orientation I was directed to my camping site. Set up trailer and was soon talking with regulars. Park is as social or as private as you desire. Nice walking trail around back perimeter of park. Facilities were spic & span clean. Grounds were immaculate. Restaurant delivers to your camp site, if you wish. Pandemic curtailed some activities, but plenty of sun for laying out. We really do come in all shapes and sizes. I can't even describe the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere: staff, members and guests alike. Dont know why I have not done this sooner. Wonderful establishment to try for first time.
