So very disappointed in the lack of compassion in this hotel. My family booked a room at the hotel since we would be attending a funeral for a family member. Our flight from Michigan was delayed numerous times and then finally cancelled due to weather. The hotel will not refund our money even though we called to cancel our reservation as soon as our flight was cancelled. So not only did we miss the funeral, but are forced to pay for a hotel room we were not able to use.

For the price, I thought I was going to get something quite basic; what I experienced instead turned out to be one the best experiences I've had with an American roadside hotel.
The property looks super trim and safe and the building is obviously kept up well. The lobby is cozy and there are plenty of snacks you can purchase, should you choose not to venture out.
The best part of this hotel is the room! My room had a small kitchenette, spotless bathroom, and plush rocking chair. I only regret not bringing my own food, as I could have cooked up a lovely meal.
The location is just across the street from a variety of shopping and food places. This is also a great launching pad to explore the region, including Colonial Beach, which is only 20 minutes away.
I was also worried about potential noise, but I did not hear a peep the whole night.
Finally, the lobby staff were fun and friendly and even wished me good luck for a triathlon I was competing in. Imagine that I was expecting basic, and walked away feeling valued and uplifted, no joke -- the hotel is that good (keeping in mind it's a budget hotel and not a resort). Tip: park your car and forget it, as you can easily walk to about five good restaurants.

This was the best hotel we ever stayed at. The beds were very comfortable and the employees were very friendly. They even had a kitchen area with a full fridge and stove top. Highly recommended this hotel.

Room was nice .clean.. friendly staff but bed was like sleeping on the floor. King size bed but extremely hard

I was visiting Stafford hall with the kids and decided to stay here to avoid the 2 plus hour drive early in the morning. It’s a good location, clean and reasonably priced. The room had full size refrigerator and stove, which was a plus.

Everything was fantastic at the pet friendly hotel
The staff was exceptional. The room was clean and very well appointed! A full size fridge, 2 burner stovetop and a large microwave. Bathroom was clean. We loved their choice of shampoo, conditioner and body wash brand. Pure.

I was traveling for a family event and unsure about this place as I was familiar with the name but I figured I would give it a try. It was very nice and clean . Everything seemed brand new . Great location right off of the high and close to Walmart. I booked 2 rooms and it exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and inviting. I will book here my next visit to King George

My 3-day stay with My Place was perfect from start to finish! While I stayed in another hotel in prior years, this was an upgrade in every way possible at a great price. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made me feel right at home. The size and comfort of the bed and desk was excellent, and the hotel is very nice and quiet. Their complimentary soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and coffee is also amazing. Next time I'm in the area, it's a no brainer for me. I will be staying at My Place!

I booked a room here for May of 2025, but unexpectedly my event had to push its dates out to June of 2025. I called to update my reservation to the new dates and was told I’d be penalized and charged the full payment again so I’d be paying double for the room. This is very poor customer service as (1) they charged my card in full when I first booked the room, (2) I was still giving them business and (3) they had a 6 month notice. Needless to say, I cancelled my reservation totally and booked with another venue in the area that was not only less money than here but also closer to my event, and I will never stay or recommend this facility purely on their lack of customer respect.
