No public restroom. Why? Otherwise it would be a 5 star stop. Clean, organized, stocked and friendly staff. They have a porta potty out back that they “try to keep up with”.

Ellen's has everything you need for a country store. Their food is fantastic, prices are reasonable, and the convenience can't be beat. If you are in a rush, you can always call ahead to place your order and it will be ready once you get there.

The sandwiches are great and the service was very good. They made my party feel right at home. If you're looking for a unique experience and a great sandwich, head on out to Ellen's Country Store.
Ellen's has been a fixture in the Northern Neck for over 50 years. The "Home of the Hefty" is located on the Ottoman side of the Merry Point Ferry. Ellen's serves as a hub for both locals and the "summer people" to get all their basic goods and supplies without having to travel far. We serve breakfast, a full line of deli sandwiches and grill items and of course we are stocked with deserts and cookies. You can pick up wine in most all varieties and our beer cave has an array of suds sure to please. Of course we have all the staples: bread, eggs, snacks and produce, and don't miss our ice cream treats.
