This is the worst run most dysfunctional store I've ever been in. It's cluttered, dirty and rude employees. It was a BIG waste of money to install self checkout and then not use them. (TO many people stealing is the so called reason.) But they have cameras so why not catch them. Just a waste of time to go to. I'll travel a couple more miles and shop at Fancy gap store.

They stopped using the self check outs after just recently putting them. What was the point if your just going to stop letting people use them, it makes no sense

Check EVERYTHING you buy here, I just got home with a bag full of groceries that are expired. Not just a *little* expired, like 3-4 months. Absolutely disgusting to see this company pocket billions while understaffing their stores, paying the staff they do have peanuts, and trying to foist expired product off on folks.

I was in Laurel Fork VA yesterday and stopped in at The Dollar General to get some items I needed. The staff of every Dollar General in which I've shopped is usually courteous, but not this particular one. They had a section that was Christmas items, but most of it was still sealed up in boxes. The boxes were out on the shelves, but still sealed up. I saw an item I was interested in getting by reading the outside of the sealed box, so when I got to the register, I asked the checkout lady if those items were for sale yet, but also included that if they were NOT, I'd understand. In a hateful tone, she snapped that Halloween wasn't even over yet and they had not had a chance to put that stuff out yet. I told her that was fine, I'd check later on. She asked me, again in a hateful tone, what was it I wanted? I told her, but AGAIN told her that's ok...I'll check back later...she stomped around the counter and said, "Where is it?!!" So I took her to the sealed box and she sliced it open...I told her I want 2 of those if you can sell them now, once again, telling her that if not, that's ok...She grabbed two of the items out of the box and we went back to the register where she rang them up with the rest of my items. She bagged it all up, and I paid, got my receipt, and said, "Thank you, I appreciate it." She never spoke another word to me...NO she did not thank me!! There was no one else in line, so THAT was no excuse, plus all she had to do was say that the items had not been put out for sale yet...employees had not had time or whatever, and that would have been fine with me...no problem. I had tried to be nice through it all, but I guess I rubbed her the wrong way or something ??? and common courtesy is to thank customers for their business, but she didn't. I didn't appreciate her customer service AT ALL.

When the store first opened it was clean and neat. Now it's nasty and in disarray. The parking lot is full of cigarette butts and across the road the grass is full of trash that has blown away from the store. The store needs cleaning and so does the parking lot. It's gross.
