Cathy stole $2500 from me and wasted months of my time. I had an absolute nightmare of an experience. After 7 months of Cathy delaying, the product she showed me was so awful. With no time left to spare, I had to go above budget and sacrifice other aspects of my wedding to buy a wearable dress elsewhere. Upon further research, I found other similar reviews on her previous google page "Ebrada Atelier" that she seemingly tried to cover up by adding a new page. I'm not the first bride she scammed. The photos below speak for themselves.. This is what I received vs. what I ordered (which was supposed to be "a better version" of this, thinning straps and changing out the liner for a higher quality liner). After a heartbreaking and extremely stressful stream of conversations, Cathy finally apologized and offered money back, only to send a text after the wedding saying that she would see us in court. Save yourself and go ANYWHERE else for your wedding dress! PHOTOS BELOW: -The photo without my face in it is what I ordered "a better version" of -The mirror selfie is the product she showed me 7 months later (Chunky, uneven lace, genuinely looked like my 10 year old made it. The "custom fit" not only didn't fit me, but was the most unflattering possible. Seriously the worst dress I've ever put on. I left that appointment in tears)

A friend of my mom referred me to Cathy and I am so glad she did! As a small business owner, Cathy is intimately involved in every aspect of the creation of your dress. She is the perfect collaborator -- knowledgeable, crafty, open, and inspired -- to bring your vision to life. Plus, her beautifully designed dresses are accessible for almost any budget! She takes care of you and has a lot of pride in her work. 11/10 highly recommend you work with Cathy to make the dress of your dreams

Cathy did my wedding dress alterations after a terrible experience at another boutique that was supposed to include my alterations. Cathy was reasonably priced, has so much knowledge of the wedding dress industry, and did a great job of my alterations. She is a very kind person too! She even did a complementary dressing for me and my bridal party that day of my wedding at the Trump Golf Club! Will definitely recommend Cathy to all future brides!

Cathy was so much fun to work with! She did the alterations for my dress as well as made me a custom veil and belt to match. I initially came to her with a design idea for my veil that was pretty overdone. Cathy was happy to meet my wishes but discussed with me options that met my style but were more unique. I'm so happy she was honest and that I went with her suggestions! I had a French Quarter New Orleans wedding and I feel like the design Cathy created matched that vibe perfectly (waaaaaay better than what I initially had in mind!!). She truly made a one of a kind piece. There are a ton of hidden details that make the veil romantic, like two birds flying together to represent my husband and me, and our initials and wedding date. I also wanted something "blingy" but not tacky. Cathy and her team used clear and iridescent Swarovski crystals on my veil and belt to give it that "shimmer" effect without being over the top. I also kept losing weight before the wedding and Cathy and her team were so flexible to continuously have to take the dress in. Her seamstresses are hilarious and professional! She sometimes would bring them in so they could all collaborate. Three minds are always better than one! Cathy's a perfectionist and if she's not 100% sure, she pulls in her team to make sure. It really felt like the work they were doing was uniquely for ME and my style, body, and requests. I'm so grateful for their work, it was so so beautiful and better than I could've ever imagined--thank you!

I was absolutely blown away by what Cathy did with my sisters wedding dress. She made my sons king coat from it for his christening and it was absolutely gorgeous and meaningful. She even stitched a special message from my sister in heaven to my son. It was very touching and I cannot thank Cathy enough! Thank you for this amazing keepsake. Highly Recommend.

I was searching for a designer to make a Christening Coat for my son out of my sisters wedding dress and I believe it was fate that brought me to Cathy. She exceeded all of my expectations and even stitched a special message from my sister inside of the coat. We will cherish it forever. I highly recommend Cathy for any and all of your design or tailoring needs. She is truly talented in her craft and wonderful to work with.

Cathy is very nice and fun to talk to BUT it is very scary working with her. I brought my wedding dress to her and we had TEN FITTINGS over the span of 6 months! She was adding sleeves to my dress and doing the other typical alterations for a wedding dress (hem, bustle and cups). Every visit we had with her, she would tell us she would have x, y and z done by next fitting and we could set up that fitting in a week or so. She would always end up pushing back the fitting and when we would go to the fitting there would be almost no progress made on what she told us would be done. She had us sit around waiting during the fitting while she was clearly in the back rushing to finish things. She made it seem like she had experience making sleeves but in the end it seemed like she really had no idea what she was doing and needed help from another seamstress. In the end, she finished the sleeves and they did look nice but it was a scary/long process. We ended up having to take the dress to another seamstress in Leesburg a week before the wedding to get the dress re-fitted and the cups re-done because it wasn't done well. She had put 2 different color cups in my dress! And one of them had a smiley face drawn on it... They were also put in really loosely. The seamstress in Leesburg was shocked by her techniques on the dress - apparently the hem was done terribly too but we hadn't noticed. You could see the stitching of the hem through the lace because she hadn't done the hem correctly. I would not recommend working with Cathy, though she is very nice.

Cathy made me the perfect wedding dress! I never had a “wedding dress of my dreams” since I never really thought about it...but Cathy really helped guide me through the whole process to make a dress that was 100% me and absolutely gorgeous. I felt beautiful and confident wearing it. My husband even cried during our first look when he saw me in it!!

DO NOT USE. I thought I was in good hands after my first appointment, but as soon as she got the money, it was ALL downhill. She cannot meet a deadline if her life depended on it. Would travel 45 minutes for appointments only to find that NOTHING had been worked on since the last appointment. She's full of excuses and I honestly cannot believe her doors are still open. Highly recommend avoiding all together. Also very surprised by any positive reviews... assuming she must have not had any other clients at the time if she came through for you.

Cathy is the best! She altered my very intricate lace gown perfectly for my wedding in April. She also hemmed my mother’s gown flawlessly. We had three fittings at her studio in Ashburn. She and her seamstress, Lala, were very kind, hospitable and accommodating. Her pricing was transparent and very reasonable. And as a bonus, she accepts Venmo. Now that my wedding is over, I still bring clothing to her to alter to fit my body! :) She makes you feel very comfortable and confident. I couldn’t recommend her more!

I could not have been happier with the professional, expert, and affordable services I received from Cathy Ebrada!!! Having Cathy Ebrada customize my wedding dress and design/make a custom veil out of both my grandma’s wedding dress and my mom’s wedding dress was the most enjoyable, meaningful, and special part of the wedding planning process! Both my dress and veil turned out perfectly - absolutely breathtaking and timeliness. The fact that both my dress and veil included/incorporated three generations of my family and the most important women/people in my life, made me so happy. I am so happy that my wedding dress and veil are now a family heirloom containing three generations that can be passed down to future generations to come in my family.

DO NOT USE CATHY!! She stole $2500 from me! Incapable of making my daughters wedding dress and would not give us our money back. Cathy put little effort for six months to make my daughter the dress of her dreams. A two year old could have sewn better than Cathy Cleveland! She is absolutely the worst owner, seamstress, person in the wedding industry!!!! She will be out of business again!

Cathy has been working in the wedding industry for over two decades. She has been great to work with. Other people gives rheir unbiased reviews purposely to hurt not just her business but her personal life as well. This is bullying and assassinates her character. I have worked with cathy for over a decade and ive seen all she does is do good for all her clients. She has been honest and will go an extra mile just to make her customers happy. If a customer says that they know how to sew or a two year old sews better than cathy then this customer is not in her right mind. I mean how can a two year old sew?! - This isnt even safe or legal. Anyway, what cathy is doing is Art and if you don’t appreciate art then you wont appreciate her work and you are not a cathy ebrada customer. Cathy will always accomodate peoples request and give something extra. These customers who worked with Cathy are probably a first timer in custom design work and their expectations are way too unrealistic. These customers should have purchased their gowns from a store- a ready to wear, mass produced gown.

Not only is Cathy Ebrada an incredibly talented artist and designer, she was an absolute joy to work with! Cathy was incredibly responsive, flexible, accommodating, and able to work in a very condensed timeline (we had a very short engagement because we really wanted to get married Columbus Day Weekend at my family's farm in Leesburg, VA). Cathy Ebrada was able to customize my wedding dress, design, and make my veil from scratchy from my grandma's and mom's wedding dress, and customize/design my mom's Mother-of-the-Bride dress for the wedding (that looked absolutely perfect on my mom and she looked so beautiful!) - in less than 7-weeks time! Cahty Ebrada made the whole process so relaxing and enjoyable - traveling to my mom and I for all of our fittings and design sessions. Most incredible of all, Cathy Ebrada and her assistant came to help dress me in my wedding dress and put on my veil before the wedding ceremony. Additionally, Cathy Ebrada and her assistance carried my veil and ensured it was laid out on the ground perfectly up until the moment my Dad and I began our walk down the aisle to the alter. Likewise, Cathy Ebrada stayed to help ensure everything was perfect with my dress and veil while we were taking photographs after the wedding during the cocktail hour. Furthermore, the Monday after the wedding, Cathy personally traveled to our house to pick up my wedding dress and veil to clean and preserve. At all times, Cathy Ebrada was respectful, poised, professional, and wonderful to work with. Cathy Ebrada made my wedding dress and veil (and wedding!) even more special than I ever thought possible! I highly recommend Cathy Ebrada for your wedding dress and veil needs and/or any event you may have coming up and need a beautiful dress custom made or have a dress tailored!!!
