Almost every single fishtank on the bottom racks had dead decaying fish in there. Clearly left for longer than a few days.
Nobody ever asked if I needed help.
The rest of the store seemed ok, inventory and shelves seemed kept up and tidy.
Floors clean.
Multiple folks walking dogs in and out without much concern for each other though š

I find this store fairly nice in size and selection; however the customer service is lacking. I wanted to get a snail and fish for my tank; there was a cart in the area but nobody around. I saw associates walking around the middle of the store. Had to go up front to ask for help; there were other customers looking but they all left. The associate asked me what I needed; I said I'd like a snail ....I said algae control....he said they wouldn't eat it. I asked about an algae eater...he said no and gave me a snail instead. When I went up to pay he was talking about lassie being in the well ...I have a collie so I'm used to that .

I recently purchased some fish from the Leesburg PetSmart, and to my surprise, they had babies shortly after I brought them home. I called the storeānot to complain or return themābut simply to ask if they had any suggestions for what I could do next. I expected the answer would be that the fish and their care are my responsibility, which is perfectly reasonable.
What I didnāt expect was the defensive and surprisingly aggressive tone I received from the associate on the phone. The response felt more like a scolding than a helpful conversation, which was disappointingāespecially considering PetSmartās automated message that proudly says, āWeāll do anything for pets.ā
I wasnāt looking for anything unreasonableājust a little guidanceābut was instead met with a lack of empathy and a poor customer service experience. I hope this was just an off day for the staff member, but I wanted to share my experience in the hope that future interactions are more respectful and supportive.

When I first used to take my German shepherd things were okay but recently the staff has become very rude. Also paid for a full service for my dog including a paw hair trim and a teeth cleaning but those were not done. Will definitely be switching grooming places this place and the attitude of the staff is not worth the price. Save yourself the time and money and donāt come to this place, I wish I had said something to the nasty staff who was giving me attitude for bringing my dog in on ācat daysā because he was making the cats anxious? How am I supposed to be held responsible in knowing what days you take in cats to groom? The workers then proceed to call me 2 hours into the grooming service saying I HAVE to come get him because heās disrupting the cats when I was told it would take 3-3.5 hours?

Since my review, we went back to the Grooming dept. and our issues was immediately addressed and take care of. It was done professionally and attentively.
We have been taking our dog for full grooming at this location for a while now. We have also taken our dog just for fingernail clippings in between. The last 2 times some of the nails were hardly even clipped. Even though I reiterated to ensure they cut it short, this last time 3 or 4 in the front didn't even look like they were touched. I know sometimes the dogs are moody and they could be a challenge. I would expect to be told that some of the nails were not cut or they had issues with the dog!
This time, today, they told me everything went well! The whole thing was no more than 5-10 minutes today! Rush job and perhaps with a new employee since I had not seen her there before!
When we called, we were not even told, bring it an hour later since it is a Happy Hour with a lot better pricing, which we were not even aware!
The whole experience in the last few months has been degrading and it is a shame to see the quality to go so low!

Loved our grooming experience, as well as the people who work here. Gustav is a friendly cat, but also is fresh off the streets of Baltimore so he has never had a bath before, or his nails trimmed. Cecilia is incredible, she has so much experience and it truly shows. I am so appreciative of you !!

I've had some mixed feelings about this particular PetSmart. We bought a leash here and some treats for our pet. The Banfield inside has an excellent doctor. Dr. Johnson treated our dog and has her on a full recovery. Thank you Dr. Johnson.

Matt, working at the register, was extremely nice and friendly to everyone. You know when you run into a good human and you can just tell? That is Matt. I will go to this petsmart over petco due to my interaction tonight. Thank you for kind to people in the register line - these days kindness doesnāt feel common place which is sad. And the lovely lady in the fish area stopped to see if I needed help. I appreciate it
