Just moved to the area from the east side of the state and we had not yet established a relationship with an auto mechanic. As luck seems to run, my Nissan started making a horrible noise from her driver's side front wheel - of course, after 5 pm on a Sunday. My domestic partner who was with me had the perfect analogy.....it sounded like freight train wheels squealing against the track while going around a curve. His guess was that it was a clip, caliper or dust shield. Had to drive all the 20-some miles to the house with that noise to our house at the top of the mountain and then back down this morning.
