Self check out is a nightmare. Three separate times attendant called they have you on video that they play back showing you putting each item in your bag. Each time the lady would say yes you have that in your bag. Third time when she said it I told her each of these items could also be bought at the food Lion right down the road where they have cashier's. See my point lady...my time is valuable and big brother recording me is unacceptable.

Been shopping here for years. Today it was advertised all senior citizens would receive 5% discount. Was told the manager said it didnt apply to his store. No discount. Called HQ and got the credit. Also, I dont know why they have taken it upon them selves to stop carrying many items that sell.

The employees are extremely rude. It tends to have an unpleasant smell. A good deal of the time the grapes are rotten.

First thing you'll notice about this Kroger's is the steeply angled parking lot. That can be fun in the rain, and it makes returning your empty carts really easy...just let go. No, don't do that. Really, don't.A deep selection of brands on the shelves. Vegetable selection is good, but not as deep. Freshness pretty good, but less than, say, the off-the-truck offerings at the idyllic Wegman's (somewhat to the north of VA). Didn't check the meat section.Like so many supermarkets these days, Kroger's overprices and then discounts back to a reasonable price when you have the loyalty card. And, smile, like so many supermarkets, its software will accept another store's card. The advantages of this sort of marketing must be obvious to the management...but it's not clear how it works to improve the customer's lot.

Was out of town at the George Marshall Foundation at VMI. My glucose monitor came off my arm, and I called them to see if they could help. By the time I got out of my class, I had a monitor!! Very friendly and so helpful!!

Cart full of groceries, no check out clerks. Was told to do it myself. Kroger doesn't pay me to check myself out. Bad attitude from employee.

Disappointed that this store has moved away from plastic bags. Paper bags are just a recycle issue while plastic bags have multiple uses: everything from trash bags to kitty liter. North Carolina finally relaxed restrictions on plastic bags but now Lexington seems to be going in the opposite direction.

They just lost a good customer because they forced everyone to go through the self check out with large carts of groceries, only to be ignored by that attendant who stands around picking at herself and oogling in La la land and can't be bothered to help you. I will never use the self check out ever! They've had so many complaints on her but she hangs on like a parasite and they let her.

The store has a good selection and good prices and items are pretty easy to find. Where they fall short is at the checkout area. When you get checked out a lot of times they will have a bagger. There is absolutely no communication between the baggers and the cashiers. Several times items have been missed bag when I do an instacart order. And then the customer is reflect that back on me. Several times I have had to rebag items that were mistakenly bagged with the wrong order. The one person there who knows what they're doing is a young lady that I went to high school with. Robin has down syndrome and has a memory like a steel trap. I've never had her make a mistake bagging anything. She is an asset to the company just like Willie is when he greets people.

This store does not have Apple Pay! I’ve had to leave my groceries with the clerk because I forgot my physical card. Update your system! I go to food lion now because they accept Apple Pay.

I hope the manager, Brian Simpkins, doesn't ruin your Kroger. He was in Roanoke long enough to rip out our growler bar. That area was a gathering place for many people. It was well known that the growler bar was well loved by the community. Even though it brought in many customers, he replaced it with customer service. Good luck, Lexington. I hope he doesn't run you into the ground.
