Great selection of supplies, and I love how they partner with rescues to care for and rehome pets!

We have used this store many times over the years and we have always been satisfied with the service. Folks there have always been very cordial and quite helpful whether we made a purchase or not. We are very grateful to have this pet store as an asset of Lexington.

I get my poddle Rosie groomed there. She always looks unhappy to be there when I go and incredibly excited when I pick her up! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about pets

Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful staff. Their care for the wellbeing of the animals that they sell, exemplified by the fact that they 1. Operate as a pet rescue and 2. may deny a sale if a potential customer does not have a proper enclosure or understanding of an animal's care needs, is all the more reason to make them your go-to pet store.

Very friendly and nice. I took my dog duffy to get groomed at Lexington pet place. They did a very good job on him and I did skunk treatment and it worked.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This is without a doubt the cleanest and best smelling pet store I have ever been to, the habitats are always spotless! I always see the same 2-3 girls working too, so I'm amazed that they can keep it so clean when other places with more staff can't. The staff are also super knowledgeable and always take the time to answer all of my questions. They really are animal advocates and aren't just in it to make money. If they have a sick animal they're fully transparent and put signs on the habitats that they're not for sale and they medicate and treat them until they're better. I saw at their little medicine station for the fish that the products they use in store are the ones that they sell, which gives me peace of mind that they are selling products that they've worked with and recommend.I adopted 2 rescue cats from them about half a year ago and at this point the store is more of a rescue than a pet store considering that whenever I come in there seems to be a new pet that was surrendered. I asked one of the employees about it and she said that they work with a few rescues in the region and will help them when they can, but they get a lot of surrenders from people who got their pets at other stores and then didn't want them anymore. When I was adopting my 2 cats an employee told me how they decided to refuse an adoption application for one of their cats because the applicant wanted to have them declawed. She also said that they refuse to sell animals in habitats that they deem too small, and will ask for proof of a habitat if you don't purchase one from them. They said that some people think they're stuck up or stubborn, but I for one appreciate that they don't want any of their animals to live sad lives in cramped habitats.I can't recommend them enough!

I had my dog groomed this morning, and could not be more pleased. Karen did an exceptional job grooming my doodle. I had a great groomer a few years ago, while living elsewhere, and thought I would never find one as good. Karen is as good if not better than that. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a groomer.

My wife and I took our two Golden Retrievers for a full treatment Spa day...Karen was really good with them. They had a great time and looked beautiful when she finished with them. We definitely recommend them and have our own follow up appointment for their next day! Thank you all so much!Rich and Debbie Eaton

Although small, Lexington Pet Place can match any large scale pet store in quality. The employees are genuinely in love with their animals and love what they do and are willing to help anybody and everybody with their needs. I went in because a friend of mine recommended their store for your general pet necessities and I was genuinely Amazon's at how helpful this little pet store was. Most definitely deserves the five star rating.

Recently had to find a new groomer due to the fact my groomer had retired. For her first visit Karen groomed her and did an decent job, with only a few areas I like groomed differently. Took my dog for her second visit last week and the whole experience was awful. I arrived on time for the appointment and was told she was running a little behind schedule and it would be a few hours. I mentioned the areas on my dog I wanted groomed in a particular way and left her there. Karen texted me at 3:02 and said my dog was ready and called me right after that. I went to pick up my dog and no one was in the grooming salon. I waited thinking maybe someone was in the restroom. Meantime my little dog is in the playpen, doggy corral, whining and crying because she can see me. I wait about 10 minutes and go upstairs to ask the young woman working about the groomer, and she replied she had to leave at 3 but was supposed to tell her she was leaving. She comes down stairs to check me out and I had to ask her to please get my distressed dog while she ran the credit card. I then see that my dog as not groomed correctly and done very unevenly. The hairs longer on one leg and foot than the others. Tail and face both done incorrectly. The young woman knew I wasn’t happy but never acknowledged my concerns. Driving home I realized my dog has been left alone in the grooming salon for 20 minutes. Not secured in a crate and the door to the basement was wide open. Anyone could have walked down there and walked out with my dog. I went back the next day to speak to the owner and was informed she was out on medical. No effort was made to ask me if they could take my information so she could call me. I went back 2 days later and talked directly to the groomer Karen. She claimed she told me she had to leave early for a doctors appointment. She never told me that and had she told me that I would have been there by the time she had to leave. I told her it was wrong to leave my dog alone for that long and not secured. She could have called me before she was finished. I got several versions of how one of the girls upstairs were supposed to stay with her, etc. That didn’t happen. I also complained about the poor grooming job and asked for my money back. She refused. Never again will I take my dog there to be groomed. And given the lack of concern by the staff of the store, I’m very unlikely to ever shop in the store again.
