My wife and I were looking for our first tractor, a John Deere 1025R. We dealt with Franklin through the entire process. It was easy and painless. Franklin was knowledgeable about the tractor we were looking at and took the time to show us how to operate it safely, even before we made a deal!
There was an expired recall on the airbox, and they took care of it before delivery.
Bought the tractor on a Thursday evening, was delivered Saturday afternoon to Gordonsville. Fast, and hassle free delivery! Driver was very friendly!
This is a small family owned business that's been around since the 50's, and it shows! Very friendly staff.
My wife and I will definitely be going back again for attachments and maybe an upgrade some day!

If you value dealing with top-notch, salt of the earth people, that prioritize treating people the right way, look no further. I drove 150 miles one way to deal with them and don’t regret a mile of it and will be back if they can fill any of my future needs for equipment. Quality people who sell quality used equipment and stand behind it. Would recommend them to anyone! Don’t hesitate to deal with these people!!

Bought my first tractor with Hartman in 2014. Traded it in for a bigger one in 2021, but the first time I used the PTO I was getting a lot of white smoke. Hartman picked it up, took it to their mechanic, who fixed the issue. Hartman worked with me on the price and made sure I was happy. I would definitely recommend doing business with them. I have dealt with this company on several occasions, when I needed a feeder for my cows I went there and purchased it and they delivered it to me due to some unfortunate circumstances. Later, when I needed a bigger tractor, they gave me a good trade in price and helped me get the tractor I needed, Franklin went out of his way to deliver it to me on a Friday evening! Great customer service and I would not hesitate to do business here again! Great people! Highly recommend!

Friendly, honest company with quality equipment at a fair price. Very large selection of quality equipment. Franklin was very easy to do business with, straight forward and accommodating. He offered to deliver and set up equipment at a fair price. Delivery was prompt and he gave expert service in setting up and adjusting the bush hog. Highly recommend this family business and my family will do business with them again.
