I first took my van to another place that refused to do the work stating that there were sections that had rust after holding my van for 30 days. He was very thorough as he reviewed the damage and provided a quote. He advised that the crown moldings would have to be removed and they would do their best not to damage them while taking them off. Their best was their best!! Jeff is the body work technician. He skillfully took those moldings off in perfect condition/damaged free. “Brought in our 1985 BMW 524td, as it was stalling and having difficulty starting. Steve welcomed the opportunity to work on the car but noted that the repair work would present some challenges, including that their tech, Alberto, was less familiar with diesels (but willing to try), that it would be difficult to get parts, and that there is no diagnostic tool for a car of that age. He flagged what the likely issues were and that we'd need to go through a process of elimination. Since we had already called dealers and other German auto shops with no interest elsewhere, we took a chance on German Auto Group.
Over a period of two months, they had to order glow plugs, gaskets, a cooling system connector, fuel pump, sometimes from Germany. Each time Steve researched the original 1985 part numbers and then found the best price and quickest shipping possible, using reliable sources. They replaced the glow plugs and fuel pump (with some minor accompanying parts), fixed the starting/stalling issue, and now the car is running like a champ!
The best part was that Steve continuously communicated updates on progress, what we needed next, and involved me in the process.
The labor charge was very reasonable and our car is back on the road!

“We have used this company previously on several occasions with other cars, albeit many years ago. This past Easter weekend, thanks to a rock-flying trip on I-95, discovered a nice bit of damage in the windshield. Called insurance, we have a $500 deductible. I called the "nationally" advertised glass place, their cost was not any less than the out of pocket cost we would incur with That Glass Place. Both quotes were less than the deductible so we opted to pay it ourselves. I decided to support local business since we had used them before, very happily satisifed. This replacement was no different.I called, talked to Mary. She was quadruple-tasking at the time, but still made me feel like the only important customer on the phone. Scheduled quickly and easily and had no issues. Anytime I called with a question, she sounded like an old friend on the phone. Extraordinarily personable and remembered who I was and with what issue every time. Terry came out a couple days later, replaced the windshield in less than an hour, and gave a little WD40 shot to our hood latch to boot. And his dog Yogi was a delight too :) Work was done thoroughly and perfectly, all the tags, stickers etc were replaced properly and wipers that were a real mess (broken in half dozen places on each arm) replaced. (Yes, part of the cost, but we asked for that--and at HALF the cost of "nationally" advertised glass company!!)So, what I'm saying folks is, I HIGHLY recommend this business for your auto glass. I do not know what other glass services they offer, b/c I've only used them for auto, but when you can, support your local business. They are nice, quick, professional and competitive.
