Great place for storage in Lorton.

We have kept our travel trailer at Gateway Storage Center in Lorton for 3 years without incident. It is an easy place to get to, via the I-95 or, if coming from Alexandria, via the scenic route along the George Washington Parkway.
The facilities are basic but secure. A video camera at the gate records all incoming and outgoing licence plates, and a card or fob is needed to open the full-height gate. Not only private RV and car owners but also business vans and large trucks use the facility (in separate areas).
"Basic facilities" means johnny-on-the-spot toilets but they are kept clean and supplied with toilet paper. Unfortunately, it also means no water source.
We visited a number of other facilities in the greater D.C., area before deciding this one was the best choice.

My husband and I requested a spot for our tractor to be stored at last minute literally within 24hrs of a notice and Amanda was amazing!! She quickly replied and got us squared away. We paid and was able to park our semi truck the next day. Very reasonable pricing especially with all the security features they offer. I'd park there again and recommend it to everyone! They have excellent customer service!

I kept my stuff there for a few years, which included a couple of boats ,which they have charging stations for which is awesome and the spaces are well lit and monitored by numerous state of the art camera systems. We also had 2 different sea crate containers that were ventilated, and in very good condition. They really take care of this place and their customers and I would highly recommend them! We got to know the staff on a first name basis (Ty, Amanda , Diane, Dave). Rarely will you enter and not find them performing maintenance and upkeep to keep the place in tip top shape!
