I'm from out of town. Checked the coolant and it was low. Bought orange antifreeze instead of green. Add the orange then googled what might happen if it's mixed. Bad jujubees is what happens. Called Mervs, at 4:30, explained what I did. He said bring it over. Got there at 5:15. He pumped out the orange stuff and filled it with green stuff. All this for the price of a gallon of antifreeze. Left at 5:45. I can't say enough good things about MERVS. If I lived here I would always take my cars there. Thanks Merv!

Larry, Scott and the team have all been great to work with. It was very difficult for me to find a reputable shop but after doing some research I came across Merv's and gave them a shot. I was surprised at how efficient and honest they were.

Poor Merv has seen my cars way too many times over the past few months. They provide excellent service and diagnostics and were kind enough to look over my new used car when I finally gave up on one of my old ones. They do get busy so I recommend making an appointment. Great, trustworthy shop!

My car's brake light had not been turned off, then I called them around 6:00 pm. I knew it was almost closing hour, but a receptionist was really nice. After arriving at the shop, a young and nice technician fixed my car without labor charge. I'll visit them again.

These guys are the best!! They are super honest and have saved me 1000’s in repairs over the past 8 years. I live in Reston so it’s a little bit of a hike for my oil changes, but anything other than that I make the trip to Merv’s. That has changed as of today. Another local shop chain recommended $3k in repairs, per usual I denied and took it to Merv’s to get it checked out as I have a long road trip coming up. Not only did they confirm I did not need the repairs, but they also noticed on inspection that I had almost 8 quarts of oil in my car! They drained the excess 3 quarts and sent me on my way. Mervs is the only place that will be touching both our cars from today forward.

Brought my car to Merv to have a starter replaced. While they did the diagnostics they suggested changing the oil separator which is under the manifold that had to be removed to install the starter. The car was using some oil and changing the oil. Separator eliminated this issue. This was something they recommended that I do, which I appreciate that. Adding things to the repair that really need to be done is always a good thing. Merv has been a lifelong friend and I value having somebody so knowledgeable and honest taking care of my car.

Very good experience with Merv's! Called, made an appointment, dropped off the car for a maintenance check up. Got a call a few hours later with a list of things to fix, picked what we needed done and it was ready the same day. Incredibly easy and efficient.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Had a car emergency just passing through the area, got a tow to Merv's about 6 pm on a Tuesday, Merv called around noon Wednesday and had patched up the car enough to get back home. Took me into the garage and showed some quick fixes if anything went wrong on the trip back.
Called again on Friday to see how I had made out, and encouraged my mechanic contact him with any questions (it's an older classic and a rather strange issue).
Unbelievable customer service. Merv, you are the man.
