Overall will definitely be using this U-haul again, this location is super convenient being right off the highway. I do suggest renting your truck ASAP because they are busy busy busy during early spring into summer! They do have a lockbox in case you have to pick up a truck at unreasonable hours. The staff is super chill and nice! 🛻 🚘

This is the best Uhaul experience I've ever had. The manager here is a fantastic person, her personality really brightens up what could be a stressful experience elsewhere. It was a very hot and busy Saturday, but despite the line they kept everyone moving and were very kind to every customer. The techs that hooked the trailer were just as nice, they even replaced a fuse for me gratis.

Most Uhauls go through a lot of paper indoctrination. This particular Uhaul was expedient, efficient, with the use of Q code for near seamless service. The owner was well experienced and e en though there were other employees, she was the orchestrated of the UHaul railroad....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I began renting our unit in 2017. When I first got the unit, everything was GREAT. Within the last 3-4 years, my opinion of U-Haul has changed. My reasons are listed below:
1. In September/October 2022, I rented a van from this facility to haul some things to GreenDrop. The employee didn't walk me to the van and assist with checking for dents/scratches, which is usually done when you rent a vehicle from any company. I also wasn't told where to return the van, so when I returned to the facility a few hours later, I had to move it to a different location after I had already parked it.
2. Their pricing is RIDICULOUS. To pay $142 for a small unit then go to a competitor and spend that SAME amount for a much larger unit is sad. Customers are paying for the U-Haul name/brand.
3. The past few times that I went to check-in, the procedures had changed. I had to check in at one door then walk to another door and check-in there too.
4. Parking at this facility is a NIGHTMARE! No matter the day and time, it is difficult to get one parking space. Part of the issue is the many trucks, vans, and hitches located at this facility.
5. I didn't feel comfortable with auto-pay. Each month I paid the rental fees, the system would default for me to auto-pay. I had to double-check to be sure the box wasn't checked.
Would I suggest this facility? Absolutely Not!

This 5-star review is for Sherev and Cody. I was having a tough night/morning because my U-haul truck broke down which caused a major delay in my schedule. Long story short, I was then transferred to Sherev's store the next day to get a new U-haul truck. Sherev was really helpful, kind, and knowledgeable by helping me get a new truck and ensuring that the GM was involved. Cody was very helpful by ensuring my account was not double charged. Thank you Sherev and Cody! Unfortunately I cannot say the say for the (phone) customer service reps. They were nice but were not knowledgeable on how to handle the situation and kept giving me the run-around.

If you are looking for quality customer service, clear communication and courtesy You will not find it at the Lorton/Terminal Rd location. Another reason to break up this monopoly

I received poor customer service at this location! First of all I take all responsibility for myself on losing my key to my lock due to moving. I believe that there should always be a representative on standby in case of emergencies or similar situations like this. I informed the female employee of my situation and she stated that she was trained to cut my lock (in order for me to gather my belongings from the storage unit) but she was not comfortable enough to use the cutter to help me. So she insisted that I call her General Manager ( who is the designated lock cutter and trainer). Upon giving me the GMs contact card, she stated that the GM lived an hour away and she seriously doubted that she would come back to the store to help assist me with my problem. I called the GM and she stated that she lived an hour away and she said that I should have came earlier that day to come get my belongings. It was a waste of time calling her and very unprofessional to inform me of what I should have done. My military orders had just started so I was instructed to check in at my duty station which is over an hour away from this location. If I would have been able to be assisted then I would not have to return another day to rent a truck again to move my belongings. I am highly upset about the lack of help and consideration.

Severely understaffed. Every time I've gone to pick up a rental, it takes 30+ minutes, even if there is only one other person in line and I've already completed mobile check-in.

I drove a van 41 miles in total and when I returned it, I had to add 6.5 gallons of gas to restore it to full. I explained a seemingly Martian concept of gas mileage and was met with blank states. They refused to reimburse me for gas the last person didn't put in. Of course I heard "It was full when you got it" and "There's nothing we can do" a dozen times. Total incompetence and lack of reasoning from these folks.
