A wonderful theater venue in the DMV! Only frustration is the lack of signage on campus, which made it hard to find the theater. Other than that, extremely cool space!

Just watched Urinetown at the theater (building 3). Loved the play! Loved the intimate theater!!

Staff there is just phenomenal. Very helpful setting up an event for my family. The construction made things a teeny bit confusing as far as parking near the actual entrance, but they flexed well to accommodate.I would love to go back and explore the facility more.
The Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia is a vibrant, 55-acre center for the arts and arts education that, through adaptive reuse, utilizes existing structures on repurposed land in the former Lorton Reformatory.[1] A strong community partner with a growing national reputation, the Workhouse hosts celebrations, offers space for special events, and showcases Fairfax County’s commitment to the arts. The Workhouse is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and relies on the generosity of WAC partners and community.
Once surrounded by barbed wire fence, the Workhouse Arts Center now shares the glory of artistic expression and is open to all.
