About Nelson SPCA - Operating Almost Home Pet Adoption Center
Almost Home PET Adoption Center is a wonderful and awesome no kill shelter. The facilities are so nice, clean, and the animals are very well cared for. It is a great place to volunteer, with extremely nice, welcoming, friendly, and sweet staff and board members who are very appreciative. The group is knowledgeable and really helpful, dedicated to helping people find pets. They have community-centric programs including adoption. Potential visitors should note to call before arrival, as there may be signs about being closed to the public. Support for this rural shelter is encouraged.

Great staff that really cares about finding a loving home for their animals. My new kittens have adapted quickly to their new home and I feel that the love and attention that the SPCA gave them has had a lot to do with that.

Lots of pets cats is what we came in to look at and plenty of young kittens all so adorable and friendly.. nice staff

Almost Home is awesome! We went and adpoted a absolutely wonderful 3 month old little purr baby. He is so happy to have a forever home. Miss Rose and her staff are so awesome! If you are looking to adopt a new pet this is the place to go! So happy with y'all!
