Stayed for four nights in early November. Clean, comfortable, convenient, and an amazing value! Very friendly staff and a great view of the mountains.

Newly renovated and very clean. Nice little spot at a great price and friendly staff. I would 100% recommend here over the nearby chain hotels.

My fiance & I had a wonderful 2-night stay. I was in town for a wedding & I am so glad the wedding party recommended this sweet & cozy motel for us all! I loved the original vintage touches that were saved with the updating of the rooms. The staff is extremely nice, it was clean, comfortable, affordable & my group had a great time together here. Only a 45 minute drive to Shenandoah the next morning, so worth it!! I would absolutely book here again if I am anywhere in the area!

Immediately felt welcomed by the friendly front desk staff. The room was exceptionally clean, and the grounds were just as well kept. I noticed many other guests with their dogs, which made it feel like the perfect pet-friendly spot. Definitely seems like the place to go! Will return!

We came into town to see the caverns and I was looking for a family friendly place to stay. This place was perfect! We had the two rooms with two queens, which was perfect with kids! Lots of space and everything was nicely updated! All of the staff I talked to were very friendly and helpful! Definitely no frills, but there was a nice ice machine and a decent pool! I would definitely come back here!

My husband and I needed a place to stay on the fly that would accommodate our dog as well, and this sweet little place was just right. Nestled in the foothills of the Shenandoah National Park, and just 4 straight miles to Luray Caverns, Hillside Motel has a gorgeous view and it's quaint rooms are super clean, updated, and comfortable! The only downside of our brief stay was that the local water lines were being worked on, so no drinking water or ice from the machine. However, the manager Samantha was friendly and very helpful, and she was prepared for the situation with bottled water at the ready for guests. She even checked in with us to make sure all was well! So grateful to have found this place, and could see staying here for a longer duration in the future for more park and local activities.

Pleasant Stay!
We chose to spend one night here since we wanted to explore the Luray area while we were at Luray Caverns. The place has serene beauty all around it. Our room was small but comfortable. The property was well-kept. Staffs were professional and friendly. We had a wonderful experience.

My family has been coming here every year ever since my kids were small (they're teens now). Just stayed again this past weekend and it was a lovely stay as usual full of memories and nostalgia. I heard that the family recently sold the motel to a new owner, I look forward to getting to know him as well!

You can’t go in expecting the Ritz but for a roadside motel, outside of small town Virginia, we were pleasantly surprised! The rooms were neat, clean and felt very safe. Friendly staff and comfy beds!
I will note that you may want ear plugs. The walls are a bit thin, so between your neighbors and the road noises, it can be a bit loud.

The check in was smooth. The location is very good. Place is very neat and clean. Room was of optimum size. Overall a good place. We saw the northern lights from here. It’s in very close proximity to the mountains. It has two swings where you can comfortably swing and watch the Shenandoah National Park.

This is such a cute little roadsie motel near Shenandoah National Park. It's about a 30 minute drive to the park from here making it a good place to stay with great views.

Room was well-appointed and newly renovated. But it was tiny. Had a large closet that wasn't much use. Perhaps it was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. I wouldn't mind if they raised the price a little bit to get rid of some of the riff-raff neighbors we saw. However, use of credit card is charged something like 4%, which I thought was excessive. I think it was in the fine print somewhere.
Lady at check-in was pleasant, helpful, as well as easy on the eyes.
